CC will certainly upgrade the CC v5 skins, but it would be up to you to make the edits required to your developer v5 skin or contact whoever created your skin. They are not actively developed but are maintained for any important issues like this. We must get version notifications for skins & plugins going. I will say this bug could cause problems with text-based product options irrespective of what version of CubeCart you are running. On the other hand, the affected database column, 'options_array', is not in a CC5 database. So there may actually be no visible consequences of this bug in CC5. The addition of the recent Extension icons to the Dashboard is some help, but the process is still very tedious. It would cut out a step for the time being if the version number of the current plugin showed with the image and title of each extension on the Marketplace. As it is now, AFAIK except for SemperFiWebServices plugins (which provide a notice and link to the upgrade when you open the plugin page) the only way to check for new versions is to check on each plugin in the Marketplace, open the page to see what the newest version number is, and then install if it's newer than what is currently in the store.
