Braintree and PayPal Checkout have been discontinued and removed. Checkout was replaced with Commerce and Braintree was removed. Braintree still actually exists but PayPal are keeping it for larger organisations only. Really there is just one choice. Commerce.

There are only two but its a common misconception that PayPal are a one product company. They have a multitude of products and services developed and released over a period of time. PayPal Commerce - Every merchant should be using. PayPal Standard - A legacy product many merchants still insist on having access to. Commerce is recommended.

Really it's a question for PayPal but they call it an Alternative Payment Method. Any payments made via an alternative payment method like SoFort (I prefer SoFart) should just go directly into the PayPal account. It's dynamic to the customers locations. Call is designed for remote server calls. Process is for real time with redirect to receipt page.

For followers. I've been able to connect a different paypal account on this store so we think its specific to this PayPal account and not a fault in the integration.

I don't think this is an issue with our integration. If it were it would be more likely that the error would show when the modal window first loads. You PayPal account isn't suspended or anything is it? Maybe you can try registering under a new email address. The fact you can get as far as you can on paypal hosted pages it doesn't feel like a CubeCart fault.

I'm not really sure I understand what you are asking? What about Facebook?

In the download section of your file manager you can edit a streamable file type and check a box next to it to allow it to stream. On purchase instead of a forced download it will stream within that template file.
