I am trying to find a way to integrate the latest "blog" posting into the homepage of my cubecart store. I use wordpress as a separate entity for users to read updates, however, there are some important updates such as shipping delays, etc. that I would like to add to the blog and display on the homepage of the store. I didn't see any plugins or anything that would allow this, does anyone else have something like this on their site?? I do not want to update my homepage doc for cubecart all the time. Thanks!

I have over 250 items in my shop with most having some discount applied. I'd like to access the database directly with sql and remove ALL discounts. Manually, if I remove the discount from one item, and click 'save', I don't know what process CC goes through to update the necessary fields in the db. Questions: If I zero out the discount field of all products in the db, will CC handle everything else automatically? e.g. recalculate the final price, remove items from the 'sale' section, etc.? If not, which db field(s) do I have to modify directly with sql to remove all discounts from all products? I really don't want to edit every item manually. Is there an easier way to accomplish this?

Hi, My second post and I'm totally new to CubeCart... For a small set of specific products within my shop, I want to have a number of mandatory fields appear when any one of those products are ordered and on a "per product" basis, i.e. if more than any one of these products is purchased in a single transaction these fields appear for each product in the transaction. I want the data captured in these fields to be recorded as part of the order details, not the customer. My questions: 1) Which table(s) in the phpMyAdmin area would the new fields need to be added to? Any tips on some of the more unusual field options (e.g. I get "mandatory", but others?) when creating them... 2) I know I'll need some PHP coding to have the fields appear (getting that sorted) and I think it'd be best to have that occur in the "Basket" stage of the purchase. Which PHP file(s) would be the ones to change the code in? 3) It'd be great if I could have this mandatory data appear in the CubeCart Admin Control Panel -> Orders -> Overview tab - Order Summary. I'm guessing this would be PHP code changes too - again, which file(s)? Many thanks in advance.

My client has been offered the merchandising for a potentially different set of customers, and has asked me if we could create a separate Product page for this merchandise, with a different skin that has the same look and feel as their home web site. So I can see two possible ways of achieving this; either (i) have a product page that uses a different skin to the rest of the store, or (ii) specify the skin name in a query string, so that we can supply a link that looks like www.mystore.co.uk/theseproducts.html?skin=mynewskin which would then set the skin for that session. Has anybody developed this functionality? I would prefer option (ii) myself as I think the visual shock of going from one skin to another during the checkout process might put some potential customers off. Apologies if this question has been asked before, but I've done the usual searches to the best of my ability.

Hello I have some setup questions, I’m new to this platform and would like make some changes (if possible) so I can get rolling. 1. Search our store and advance search, I don’t need I have one product and maybe the possibility different sizes down the road. How do I get rid of it? 2. Customer reviews, is there a way to add pictures to this in a mod? Would be nice to have reviews with customers picture using or holding product. 3. Logo space is too small, if there is a way to remove search box will this free up space for a larger logo? 4. I don’t need a featured product cause I have one, when I uncheck box in admin for this it also took away latest products and I was left with the home page slider and nothing else it might have been the other way around either way, nothing on home page except slider. I want it simple, if they make it to the website they just want to buy my product. 5. Do you have to have a SSL for PayPal to work correctly? Is there a tutorial in the forum for paypal some where that has eluded me? I setup install with http: and not https would I have to re install if ssl is needed? 6. I would like to put a video on home page, is there an easy way to do this? 7. Its quite simple, I have one product that I would like for the consumer to have the ability to buy on home page without registering (or does this affect shipping) to my site, pay through paypal express checkout. Hello, every time I log into the admin section I get this warning message, Warning:Please delete the setup folder from store directory, your store may be at risk until you do. Where is this folder on the server or in admin? And why would I be at risk? thanks

Im using usps plug in with shipping option selected as variable unknown. is there a way to add product dimensions so the shipping will choose the right option instead of offering a small box if its a bigger item? hope i explained myself well, sorry, new here. The only option for product shipping calculation i have right now is for weight, not sizes.

I am not sure this is achievable at all, anyway I will try to explain: Let's say I have a bag in my inventory called "Wilma" and that comes in blue, green, red and black color. Each product has its unique product code as I need to keep stock levels. My question is as follow: Is there a way to create A "wilma" product, assign a drop down option with 4 different colors and then, when a customer select the choice of color, the corresponding product code is also assigned to the system and, once this is purchased, the product is removed from the stock? Ideally I would like to avoid populating the store with lots of similar products and make the customer experience easier to browse. I have seen the Product options and I can see there is a way to create a group of colors but I miss the other part, how to link that color to a specific product. Thanks in advance everyone

Argh..! Just installed cubecart v6.0.10 and according to the installer everything went right. However, after creating several categories and one products I have just realised that clicking in any of the links to either pages or categories yields no result. Few details: Site was installed manually and was not part of "One click install" software from hosting provider. During installation all instances were marked green and no issue was encountered. During installation some of the folders permission had to be chmod to 777 as 755 was still considered unwritable. Anyone has a clue? Thank you in advance all

Hi,I've just installed SSL on my site, and the ReCaptcha function now seems to have broken, telling me that it is the verification code is wrong.Any clue what could be wrong and how to fix this? I'm using version 5.2.1. Please help.Thanks!

I don't get into CubeCart often enough to remember where things are. I'm running V6 of CC. On the "basket" page there is text that reads "Gift Certificate or Coupon". My client would like it to read something different. Where can I go to change this? thanks!

Hi Everyone I just updated to 6.0.9 - all good apart from some code appearing at the top of every screen (admin and live site). A quick investigation suggests that this is security related which is a bit of a worry. Can anyone advise me what to do? Has anyone else seen an issue where a product has several variants? cc6.08 When I click on <Buy> where a product has several options & I have not selected one of them, I used to give a message telling me that I needed to select a product option before buying. Now I get a different option depending on the browser - for example I get directed to a page with an error message (safari), or pops up a useless info box (edge) or does nothing (Chrome). It is fine if I click on <more info> and then select <Buy> the messaging is correct. Is this a bug? cc6.09 allows you to purchase without selecting an option?

Is there a way to ban customers and/or entire countries? I'm looking at doing it via .htaccess because I did not see anything to be able to do it in CC.

I am using the Clean Skin and it utilizes the language file to hold the URL for the image links below the slider on the homepage. There is one image that I have which I would like to redirect to an external page on my site, but I want it to open a new tab. Can someone tell me how to do that? In the content.homepage.php file this is how it is originally coded: <a href="{$LANG.cleanskin.brand3_link}"><img src="{$STORE_URL}/skins/{$SKIN_FOLDER}/images/brand3.png" /></a>Is there a tag I can insert to open in a new tab? Hello, I'm new to CubeCart and I have a problem. When a customer place an order, they don't get a order confirmation send to their email address. Only when I change the order status to "complete". How to I configure it so they get a confirmation immediately when the order is placed? I searched on Google but I can't find there a solution either... Thanks all. - Daan

Hi! I'm wondering how I can add the customer's name to the newletter. So instead of it just starting with a generic "Dear Customer" It can start with Dear [customer name] - We just use the customer's first name when we have sent newsletters in the past. Also, I would like to be able to add the last item they ordered and the date of their last order to the newsletter. Seeing when they last ordered and what they ordered, may get them to re-order rather than shop somewhere else. Thanks!

Hi, My store www.kidsplayhousestore.co.uk has started showing all my products at £0.00, even though they are set at proper prices via the admin back-end. Even if I clone, create a new product, or edit and re-save any existing products they also show at £0.00 only - I cannot find a way to make them show the correct price. I am running ver 6.08 and php version 5.6.15. It was working fine earlier and I haven't knowingly changed anything to make this occur. I have had to make all my store products invisible apart from a single test product, as I cannot risk customers purchasing at no actual cost. I have also cleared back-end caches etc, to no avail. Can anyone please help me with this? Anyone else had this problem before? Many thanks Billy

I already have a normal Paypal gateway installed on my shop. I want to create a Paypal recurring payments button (on Paypal site) and put it on certain items in my shop. Once I create the button on the Paypal site, I will have the html code snippet and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the best way to place the code (which includes the button icon) on certain items?

I am using the Clean skin now and I have the store setup for grid view. When I go to a category, I see everything is clean and nice, but I would like to add a row in each product grid that would display the product review/ratings (stars). The only time I see this is when you're on the actual product page. I think it would help drive more sales if people could glance at the grids and see how items are rated. Can someone help me figure this out? Appreciate any help!

When I copy a link to Facebook for a product, the thumbnail that shows up is my store logo and the information is also general site information and NOT related to the product. Can someone tell me what needs to be done so that I can post direct product links and have the information show up on Facebook? Also, the images that show up are not optimized for the posts, maybe there is a plugin for this? If there is, I have not come across one specifically solving this problem.
