  1. I have been using CubeCart for several years and I have never had any trouble. I love the way CubeCart works and the design. I shut my store off almost a year ago due to a move. I went into the store last week because I am finally ready to put my store back online. Being away for so long there were several updates. I didn’t even think about turning the store back on before doing any updates. After the updates, I am no longer able to save sections of the cart. For instance, the store settings. When I go to the store setting and try to change the address and click save it returns a 404 - page can not be found. I have been beating my head against the wall since last week and I am unable to figure out what in the world went wrong. I did try to install CubeCart into another directory but that too is having the same issue. I do not know what would be causing this or who I would ask. I am using WordPress for the main site and CubeCart for my eCommerce. When looking at the cart it does show the red banner WARNING: This store is closed. Only staff members logged in can view the store whilst it is offline. To view the offline message please log out of the admin control panel. Also, I do have a system error that reads: File: [maintenance.sql.inc.php] Line: [25] "### Rewrite rules for SEO functionality ### RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /cubecart/ " - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near 'RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /cubecart/' at line 3 I have tried to delete the .htaccess file and reinstall without success. Please, if anyone could help, I would really appreciate it. I really do not want to go with another cart. For as long as it has taken me to try and figure out the issues, I could have had another cart done, but that is not the point. I want to keep my CubeCart.

  3. Hi, I have been using the html option to set a desirable html URL for my product pages. However I note that they still do not appear on the search engines. Is there a setting that I am not using? I am using CubeCart Version 6.4.4 Also my website (noochoon.com) searches products but will not bring up a whole category which seems crazy! Any suggestions, and has this got to do with the SEO searchability issues?
  4. Hello, I am trying to setup a craft store with cubecart 6.1.10. I need to find a way to have product options available only if a product option is selected. Example: item is porcelain doll parts, available in "OPTION-1" and "OPTION-2". I need to offer the option to have it painted before shipping but only if they choose OPTION-2. If they choose OPTION-1 i would like to have the painted option hidden or greyed out so that they can't select it. I am using a modified version of Foundation default skin, modified to our colors mostly at the moment. Any other downloaded skins do snow show radio buttons for me. Is there a trick to getting this to work or a plugin that is available to make this happen? Thanks in advance for your help!

Since I installed your cart in my /shop directory to serve the shopping part of my website, I would like to redirect a few of the pages (Like the contact, TOS, Return, and Privacy) to the ones I already have. I tried using the .htaccess file in the main /shop directory, but it doesn't seam to work. (Note: .htaccess has always been confusing for me, so sorry if I made a simple error) Here is the .htaccess code I added at the end: " RewriteEngine On RewriteRule http://domain.com/shop/contact-us http://domain.com/contact [R=301,L] " OR " Redirect 301 /contact-us ../contact " Neither works. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  7. I use the "By weight" shipping module and it works really well for what I need. However, I often get rung by people wanting to buy things and needing to know a shipping cost before placing an order. So, what I think I need is either a spreadsheet (I use Apple numbers on my phone at work) or a dummy page in Cubecart so that I can put a weight into it and the formula will work out what the shipping would be. I think all the information is in the By Weight module, in shipping.class.php. I guess I could use the code in this module and a code hook to produce another page in Cubecart that I could then use an input box to provide the data into the shipping.class code? I'm getting to the outside limits of my knowledge and experience on code hooks, so whilst this is the most elegant solution (it'll always work with the real data in Cubecart) it may not be the simplest way of getting what I need. Has anyone any thoughts on doing this, or done anything similar? Thanks N
  8. Under Manage Extensions, I have installed Authorize.net Gateway (SIM) installed. It works great for accepting credit cards. [Note: I know this is deprecated in favor of Authorize.net Accept Hosted]. Anyway, I would like to have a 2nd copy of this extension appear on my Checkout page so that I can separate e-Checks from Credit Cards. One extension would be Priority 1 with the Description an image of a credit card, and the other would be Priority 2 with the Description an image of a check. Is this possible? I just need a way for the Gateway to know whether a user will be entering ACH numbers or credit card numbers.
  9. Hi again, I'm aware this sounds like a very amateur question, but we all have to start somewhere. I am doing courses in html, and seo and things, and would like to be able to apply bits to my CubeCart store (after practising obviously!) So...how do I actually edit a CubeCart pages html...where is each of my individual pages within my file manager? (I have access to this via my hosting provider). I understand about FTP and downloading / editing / re-uploading etc (unless there's a way of just editing the pages without doing this?). I am able to inspect pages in a browser, view (and largely understand) the html source, but I can't find the individual pages to edit. Thank you for your help.
  10. Hi, Can someone please help me with an issue. If I use gift cards the customer can choose an amount but at checkout there is VAT added to the amount. If I create a promotional code the voucher gets deducted from the price before VAT. and not from the total . All item prices are marked as VAT included. How can I sell Vouchers for an amount VAT included, or how can promo code vouchers be deducted from the total sum including VAT ?

Hello all, I have seen on another shop site a popup that "Pop's Up" which looks like PayPal reminder that says "Before you go" would you like to email to yourself the cart contents or to someone else"! so you can return later and purchase the items in the cart. Is this something in CubeCart that can be added or PayPal coding that can be added. Thanks, Malcolm
  12. Firstly, I am so so sorry if this has already been asked before, I have trawled the forum and couldn't see anything similar. I am creating a website providing for several clubs. I have 3 delivery options, but not all clubs use all three. For example, for members of one club they want me to provide Home delivery (£5), collect from their club HQ (Free), and collect from my shop (Free). For another club they may only want collect from their club HQ. Do any of the shipping extensions allow this configuration by product or category. I can see the 'by category' option, but it looks like i can only choose one delivery method then adjust cost. I want to present the customers with the delivery options approved by their club.   13. Is there a tutorial on how to use product options somewhere? I am in the process of starting a new site and need to know how to get these product options to work. The terminology is confusing me. Here's an example of what I want to do. I have a product, say green raw coffee beans as the base product with a base price. I want them to be able to choose if they want them roasted for an additional cost. How do I get that to work? For whatever reason, I am unable to get it figured out so I am starting it over again. Some items may have multiple options needed, but not all products/options will be the same per item.
  14. Hi, I have a Cubecart V6.2.x site running very happily, but I now want to offer a single product where the price includes shipping (i.e. free shipping to the customer). All my other products use weight-based shipping with the normal "By weight" shipping module. If the customer orders just this item, then the shipping cost should be zero. If they order other products, then those should attract the shipping costs that they currently do. I've looked around the forum and can't find anything that answers my question. Does one of the other modules (tried the All-in-One, couldn't see it working) have this facility? Thanks Neil
  15. I am unable to find the answer and I have found similar issues but their fix has not worked for me. I am sorry if this issue has been solved with others. I just cant seem to find it. I have added the All in One Shipping Module and the PayPal Commerce Platform and they seem to be working until it is time to check out. When on the shopping basket page there is the option to choose “to continue to secure checkout” or “PayPal Checkout”. If customers select the PayPal Checkout a pop-up opens to allow payment to be made. The problem is that when customers choose this route, the shipping charges are not calculated in. If they chose to click the “to continue to secure checkout” shipping charges are added appropriately. I have gone into the PayPal area and I have set shipping charges and set the shipping charges in the All in One Shipping Module. I have searched for days and I am unable to find a fix. Please can someone assist me? I am unable to figure out how to delete this PayPal Button until after this shopping basket step. Thank you in advance for your assistance and time.
  16. I have just had a query from a customer asking about a recaptcha issue which I think I have fixed by selecting Invisible Recaptcha. Doing this I was able to process a sale. But when I finished with paypal and selected the option to go back to the website, I got the following warning - image attached - and noticed that the item was still in my cart, appearing not to have been purchased/sale completed. I have had a couple of people query this with me, but I do get the order and the $$ in paypal, so I haven't taken much notice - I probably should have. I had an initial issue when my store was upgraded in that it wasn't set up properly with paypal (the upgrade was done by cubecart and seemed to be rectified by them also, months later when I flagged it with them ). Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Is there a reason why the transaction does not go through to "Complete" status on the user end when coming back to my site from Paypal? I am NOT good with anything technical, but if I have very specific instructions I can usually figure it out. If it's not too complicated :). Thanks in advance. Sarah

  18. I'm building a site for a friend who is based in the US, and I'm a little confused about the best options for shipping out orders. The store will ship DVDs and Blu-rays mainly to the US, but also worldwide. I guess USPS would be best? Does this work on "By Weight", or is there a better way to set this up.

  20. ISSUE RESOLVED - see final posts. Hi, I've created a backup and got a file called "database_full_6.0.12_mravico_shop_10May18-212618.sql.zip" which shows in my Admin panel, and I have downloaded. I tried to do a manual upgrade to the latest version (v6.2.0 from a zip file I'd downloaded) and it didn't go right. My site is now inaccessible and I can't get the backup restored. I've tried various things around the Backup / Restore function in CubeCart Admin panel as well as cPanel - no luck. Help! Thanks...
  21. I've been using the Galaxy x skin for a few years now and it's a great looking skin. I'm trying to replace the images in the slider box. I'm using the cpanel file manager, navigating to: public_html/skins/galaxyx/images/examples folder and uploading the new image files. The new images are showing in the folder but the web site doesn't change, it still keeps the old images. Anyone have an idea of what I'm missing?
  22. Just a thought - that way, we could list upcoming items for which we do not have the full details, and adding to cart before we have set a price. This would then allow the product images to fit within the template grid, without having to resort to using a document set-up.
  23. I can't seem to find a a link from the admin panel where to edit the top menu. I haven't done any changes to this website in years and do not remember how to simply add links or edit the top menu bar..? Thanks all

  25. We have a link set up on the navigation bar which takes you to an external site. Would it be possible to open this link in a frame, thus keeping the customer on our website? Example: https://nucleusfilms.com (link = Digital)
