  1. Hello together, i´m using the newest version from cubecart 6.0.8. I´m selling some large digital downloads / movies. Some are lager than 600MB. Everything works fine, the customers get the email with the download link in it. If you open it and say save it the download begins and everything looks fine. But after 8- 8:30 min the download cancles. Can anyone help me? Thank you!
  2. Greetings all, I am working on a new install of CC 6, using the foundation skin, and trying to figure out how to place a banner behind the search box. My customer wants a very patriotic site, and a wavy flag as a banner would go very nicely. Site is www.2aattire.com I have the flag, I hard coded it as in image, but there has to be a better way. I am sure in the CSS there is a spot, just don't know which file and where to edit Thank you Andrew

I just updated from 5.14 to 6.0.8 and when someone buys something and then decides to buy something else after the first purchase it keeps the first order # and uses it on the second order and the first order disappears from the admin screen. any idea what this is? 123456-789012-3456 when pushed goes to 151102-140704-4276 and shows another customers order with their address to the initial customer. it erased both orders and linked one order to the other order. is this a bug?
  6. I have been researching the forums looking for a way to add a specific category to the homepage. I want the products in the category to display like the Latest Products do. And I am looking to locate it above the Latest Products. This is the most popular category for my store, so I would really like the homepage focus to be on those products. I am trying to find out what I need to modify in the content.homepage.php in order to do this.
  7. Is there a way to view skins locally, as in so I can see my updates without uploading them to my server each time? What is the best editor to use for skin creation?
  8. A minor issue which was first noticed today, but may have been around since we upgraded to version 6. My client manually registered a customer using the “Add Customer” screen in the Admin Panel (admin.php?_g=customers&action=add). The customer had no email address, so he entered “none” in the email field. Having completed the registration, he then selects the “Login as…” tab from the Edit Customer screen, intending to enter an order for this customer. However when he does this, the web page fails to load with http error 310, with the message “This web page has a redirect loop (ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS)” in Chrome, and “The page isn't redirecting properly - Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.” In Firefox. FYI when I changed the email address from ”None” to ” [email protected]”, it seemed to resolve the problem.   9. Okay, after some recent discoveries with my skin and some issues I have. I need to know if I can clone or duplicate my store as it is now to another location so that I can work on a custom skin. I want to keep the products that are already listed in the store if possible so that I can test the images and alignments properly. I do NOT want this to be a live store, or a store that has customers accessible, or even for it to have the ability to change the live stores database if I add/remove products from the database or even in and out of the cart. Is this possible? Or do I have to do a whole new store install and create fake products?? I don't want to break any terms with CC as this is for closed testing only. I am constantly looking for a good skin, and it seems that I may need to just try and customize one myself. This test site might be up for quite some time before it's deployed to the live store. All searches I found were test stores migrating to live stores, and not the other way around...

Hi, This is my first post to this forum, and my first venture into CubeCart - I've sort of fallen into a volunteer admin / tech support role for a not-for-profit organisation using CubeCart v6.0.8 for its shop. My problem: No emails of any kind are being sent to customers nor shop admin and, despite a lot of Googling and reading through existing posts, I can't figure out why. Scenario: A customer places an order for a product and pays for it. Expected / required emails: Customer / Shop Admin(s): An email confirming their order (line by line of items ordered) and confirmation that payment has been made. I see in Admin Control Panel -> File Manager -> Email Templates that there are (I presume) standard templates covering this. My Shop Settings & Config: Store Settings - > Administrators: - Both accounts have "Receive order notifications?" TRUE (ticked) and have a valid email address saved. Store Settings - > Features tab: Order status for admin email notifications = Processing Don't check skipped order processing email = FALSE (unticked) Store Settings - > Advanced tab: - Email settings: SMTP with SSL / valid and correct Gmail email address / SMTP host = smtp.gmail.com / SMTP port = 465 / correct username and password entered (Gmail) Note: I've tried SMTP (no SSL) and used port = 25 and blank. I've tried port = 587 (for TSL) and tried SMTP with and without SSL. PHP mail() function doesn't work. Help... Let me know if there's anything else you need... Thanks!

  13. I am getting the following error while logging into the admin panel. I have SSL enabled in the website as well as in the cart.   14. When someone goes to the store and tries to submit a review for the product it adds the product to the cart. This will occur whether a user is logged in or not. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to get this resolved? It's a serious problem, because if someone has the intention of making an order, they could accidentally order items, OR this could eventually ruin my stock inventory by pulling tangibles out of stock.
  15. Hello all, i'm new in Cubecart and look for an pre-purchase extension, maybe by a countdown for the shipping out date. This is because i make shirt designs, some cane be sell very well and some are very difficult to sell. So i see in other Shops, they make a Campaign to sell her design, after maybe 50 or 100 orders are done, the shop start to print and send the orders. if they don't get the orders of the minus the pay back the money and stop this design. anyone a idea how i can do this too?

Im looking to concatenate a sub-string of the product description on to the meta description when there is no product meta description being called. bellow is the section of seo.class.php i was trying to alter but as far as i can make out the smarty variable does not work in the seo.class.php file.   18. Just started playing with V6 and I'm stumped already. The logo image seems to be getting automatically resized/shrinked to around half the size of the actual image in the Foundation skin. I've searched through the css for the classes and id's surrounding it in main.php but some of them don't appear to even be in any of the css files and despite trying to add them myself I can't seem to figure out how to stop the image from being resized
  19. I am adding an option to allow customers to print using PDF. I will use a hook at class.cubecart.print.receipt. The problem is that I need to pass the option to the hook. Normally to print a receipt the anchor tag looks like - But I need to change it to do something like - i.e. with extra pdf variable .. But CubeCart strips of the extra pdf variable, which I guess is safer. Is there another way to pass additional variables from an html page ? Thanks.
  20. Hi dear all, I try several ways to move the entire store from my actual host to go daddy and if install a fresh copy then update database, not work, creating same name database after copy entire site by Filezilla, does not work. Please help..
  21. Is it possible to create an extension where if a customer leaves your site without purchasing, it asks the question why and if we can contact you to assist. This could be a great method of helping convert lost sales. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated regards JAmes
  22. Call out to anyone who has installed and is using any of the affiliate plugins. I'm new to this particular area. I have been asked by my client to install an affiliate plugin so that click-throughs from an external site that result in certain products being purchased will result in a commission payment to the originating site. Sounds fair enough, I thought, so I installed the iDevAffiliate plug in,since it seems to be the most popular. so... autoinstall using the generated token, enable it in the Admin Panel and refresh the cache...... then what? I can't find any instructions on how to configure it. The "edit" link on the Manage Plugins takes me to a very thin page where I can set the status and how to log the commission; there's a mysterious field called "URL to iDevAffiliate" to complete, but no other config options. What's the deal? Do I have to sign up with idevdirect to go further? Are there any configuration instructions out there? Are there any other plugins that might be better for what I need? Any advice gratefully received. Postscript: I guess that this is related to post https://forums.cubecart.com/topic/35588-affiliate-tracking-self-contained-in-cart/ but that post degenerated into a bit of a rant about email marketing, which I can assure you I'm not in the slightest bit interested in.
  23. How can I make my web site fill the width of every screen. It does on the smaller screen devices but the larger computer screens it still looks like a square block in the middle. I'm using Crosshatch skin.
  24. WishList It would be really great if prices displayed could show both prices with and without tax. If the price inc tax could be bold and large and the price minus tax regular and smaller font then people can easily see whether tax is applicable to a product or not so they can see if they can reclaim tax in some instances. Having prices displayed either with tax or without doesn't really help as people have different preferences and in some instances won't know if tax is applicable or has been applied. in my store I list some products that are require tax to be added and some that do not but presently there is no way of knowing which products are taxed or not unless I add something into the general description. I'd rather just keep the description to describe the product rather than go into the tax situation and detract from the product itself. Thanks RogerM
  25. Hi, I accept credit cards thru PayPal. I want to change the styling of the page where the customer inserts their credit card information. The text boxes go the length of the page and I want to make them shorter. Thanks, Claudia
