  1. In the skin's config.xml, find the <image reference="category">. It is set for 800 pixels on the longest dimension. Change this to 900. It will auto-scale down to fit the container (which is 848 px wide). Next, you will need to find the CSS rule (I do not know where it would be.): .cat-hdr-img img { margin: 0px auto 5px; } Change to: .cat-hdr-img img { margin: 0 0 5px; } This CSS change will remove the margin that the browser adds to either side of the image, in equal part, to center the image in the slightly wider container. Be sure to clear Cubecart's cache.

  2. The developer will probably / should be releasing a new version of the skin to take account of all of the skin changes included in this recent version. However, if you are using a modified version, then that update will not automatically apply to your store and you should chat to the developer about this. If you dont make all the front end skin changes then you wont be able to take advantage of any fixes / new functionality that has been added - you may say that you dont need this functionality but it is always best to stay fully up to date because the situation simply gets worse and worse with each upgrade that is released - this is the problem with having custom changes

  6. It could be that the Apache web server, in its main config settings, has not yet been set to allow for directory overrides. Please see: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18740419/how-to-set-allowoverride-all

  7. There are three phases to CubeCart's search function (four for CC650+). For short words, the last two phases will be the only ones to find that one short word: the whole word man, or the part of the word commander. (The first phase(s) will not look for a word with less than four letters.) CubeCart's search will look at the product's Name (Title), the Product Code, and the product's description. Therefore, if the last phase was the phase that actually found something, the irrelevant product shown might have had a word with the search term as part of it contained in its description. There was another conversation on the forums asking if it is possible to have CubeCart ignore looking at the product description for the search term. That can be done, but would require a code edit. As for the strange missing products that have "man" in the Name (or Title), perhaps we can explore why that is happening.

  8. Great! Thank you very much. It is working, I used the database credential and host localhost:9200. In the search box, to get the drop down list product, need to use mouse cursor. Can we add keyboard up,down to reach to the downward list instead of mouse cursor. Even after click outside of the search box, ES search dropdown list wont disappear. Need to used ESC key. It would be good idea to add one click functionality to clear search dropdown list like ESC key.

  9. Why, why, why you have to be so smart @bsmither? That's exactly what the issue was, since initially they both had the same route /powerball the system added a re-direct when leaving blank, creating the redirection. Is there a module, under product page, tab #product spec, to have custom stuff? I could jam everything into the actual product page but it would be cool to add some custom stuff, in our case we don't need to specify the code or if it's new or used. Thanks again kid, Happy Thanksgiving of whatever you celebrate today!

  12. Since upgrading to version 6.5.2 we have the following issue: For reference our shop is located at https://www.airbornesappers.org.uk/shop/index.php We do have products with a Sale price entered, which are less than retail and greater than zero In Store Settings - Features we have Sales Mode set to Per Product, with Number of sale items to display set to 20 I don't know if the upgrade to 6.5.2 has caused this, all I can say is that prior to the upgrade Sale Items were displayed in the Sale Items category I've searched other topics and checked as much as I know what to check but can't fix this error Any help appreciated Thank you

  13. Using a programmer's text editor, please make this edit. In /classes/catalogue.class.php, near line 893: From: $GLOBALS['catalogue']->searchCatalogue((int)$_GET['cat_id'], $page, $catalogue_products_per_page); To: $GLOBALS['catalogue']->searchCatalogue($_GET['cat_id'], $page, $catalogue_products_per_page); The variable $_GET['cat_id'] could actually contain the value 'sale'. Should this text value be cast to a numerical type, it equals 0, for which there is nothing to be found. The use of (int) was added in an attempt to solve some other problem.

  16. It sounds like you may be encountering a technical issue while trying to generate a token. Without additional information, it's difficult to provide specific troubleshooting advice. However, one possible solution could be to clear your browser cache and cookies, and then try generating the token again. Regarding your question about the tracking ID, it depends on which version of Google Analytics you are using. If you are using the newer Google Analytics 4, then you would enter the g-tag number (e.g. G-0K5RYTYZ11) as the tracking ID. If you are still using the older Universal Analytics, then you would enter the UA number (e.g. UA-26600668-1) as the tracking ID. UPSers Login

  17. You are getting the address items from the admin, Order Summary page? If so, try the following: In the admin /sources/orders.index.inc.php: Near line 419, find: $overview_summary['country'] = is_numeric($overview_summary['country']) ? getCountryFormat($overview_summary['country'], 'numcode', 'name') : $overview_summary['country']; After that, add: $overview_summary['state_abbrev_d'] = is_numeric($overview_summary['state_d']) ? getStateFormat($overview_summary['state_d'], 'id', 'abbrev') : $overview_summary['state_d']; $overview_summary['state_abbrev'] = is_numeric($overview_summary['state']) ? getStateFormat($overview_summary['state'], 'id', 'abbrev') : $overview_summary['state']; In the admin template orders.index.php: Near lines 163-164, from: {$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.town_d|upper}<br> {if !empty($OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.state_d)}{$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.state_d|upper}, {/if}{$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.postcode_d}<br> To: {$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.town_d|upper}&nbsp; {if !empty($OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.state_abbrev_d)}{$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.state_abbrev_d|upper}, {/if}{$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.postcode_d}<br> Near lines 174-175, from: {$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.town|upper}<br> {if !empty($OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.state)}{$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.state|upper}, {/if}{$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.postcode}<br> To: {$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.town|upper}&nbsp; {if !empty($OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.state_abbrev)}{$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.state_abbrev|upper}, {/if}{$OVERVIEW_SUMMARY.postcode}<br>

  18. Nice idea! In admin, Maintenance, Rebuild tab, there is a means to "Reset all product view counts". "Views" is one of the choices on what criteria to base a query for "Best Sellers" (aka Popular Products). But resetting Views might be overkill for some. I have in mind a text box next to Store Settings, Layout tab, "Source data for popular products" saying, "Within the past [###] days." This won't be a date range, but will this suffice for your needs?

  21. According to this issue in the Github: https://github.com/cubecart/v6/issues/2754 a zone cannot be created against countries and counties/states that are not enabled. However, the question remains, what if a country is later disabled, after a zone has been created for it? Will CubeCart still offer any shipping to a customer whose delivery address contains a disabled country/county/state? Regardless, a means to enable/disable each already created zone is a nice idea. Be back soon.

  22. We are in the middle of developing a plug-in to cover both these areas of functionality. It is a big job to do it fully so have no release date yet but will be in the first half (hopefully first quarter) of next year. If you want to register as a client at our website and open a support ticket asking about this, we are interested in people’s views on functionality and we can keep you updated regarding progress

  24. This may be related to an open issue: https://github.com/cubecart/v6/issues/3057 If the error was copied from CubeCart's admin, System Error Log, if you hover the mouse over the error, there may be a popup that gives the trace PHP made to get to the code that errored. If that popup appears, try to copy/paste the contents to a reply here.

  25. Currently, no. But, CubeCart has the ability to respect a custom API call that a "cron job" would execute on schedule, as well as hooks that could be used every time that a web page is requested to update if a specified amount of time has elapsed since the last update.

  26. For step D, be sure that the updated plugins (that needs the ionCube that works with PHP 7.4) are not enabled. Otherwise, there is still the situation of an ionCube-encoded plugin wanting a later version of ionCube that is not running under PHP 5.6. Otherwise, the above is the sequence of steps I would suggest.

  27. In Catalogue Mode, customers are not even able to add items to a shopping basket. So, there is no way for CubeCart to log what the customer wanted. The admin can try to not enable any Payment Gateways. A shopping basket should be created and an Order Summary created, which the store owner can review and amend in CubeCart's administrative backend. But there will be no means for the customer to actually pay for the items via CubeCart.

  29. Chaps.. This situation is embarrasing, I'm getting female members of my team telling me that they are receiving explicit messages from one of our contact forms. Can anyone suggest how I get invisible working, failing that I'll have to employ the services of a dev to write something which works.

  31. In a stock install of CC6, the list of images to play in the slider is part of the HomePage document. In admin, Documents, click the Edit icon of the document shown as having the HomePage button selected. You may have an easier time of it by using the editor's Source mode. The slider is optimized to show 1000x300 pixel images.

  32. That would be in the AIOS module's control panel. On the admin Navigation pane, click the Manage Extensions. From the list of extensions shown, click the Edit icon for All in One Shipping. On the module's administration control panel, General tab, Debugging, select "Debug Enabled (Verbose)".

  34. We need to find out why they aren't 'sticking'. My experience tells me to first look at those settings that could possibly make the aggregate amount of content larger than 64KiB. Those settings are the Offline Message and Copyright Text. Then second, look at the error log.

  37. Hey @radman The W3W compatibility notice in the admin panel is cosmetic - Providing you enter your W3W info it will work as intended. It's just in the admin panel it looks for a certain skin file to determine whether or not its compatible, however for the updates i approached it differently so the certain skin file isn't there. As for the other issues, i can only assume something might have been edited incorrectly during your update, i can't seem to load your site (503 Service Unavailable) at the moment so i can't check whats going on.

  38. @traylor23 you are very welcome ! One takeaway is that you might want to look into the frequency and accessibility of backups your hosting company is doing. Minimum has to be full off-server backup once per day but even that for busy transactional sites can lead to massive data loss. As an example, we do hourly Continuous Data Protection backups !

  39. What were your findings in admin, Store Settings, Layout tab? Verify that there exists a skin template named box.popular.php.
    1 point
  40. In admin, Store Settings, Advanced tab, enable debugging and enter your IP address in the adjacent field (www.showmyip.com). Then, on the Layout tab, verify there is a value greater than '1' for Number of popular products to display. Also note the Source data for popular products. Then request your homepage. At the bottom of the page will be a grey section with a lot of some diagnostic info. If the source is by Product Views, then have the browser find ORDER BY popularity DESC. If by Sales, have the browser find ORDER BY `quantity` DESC. If neither query is present, then we need to look elsewhere.

  41. Hey @radman420 In that case it would appear to be some sort of data issue then if it doesn't show in both Amzin or the foundation skin.

  42. Please look at Store Settings, Features tab, at the bottom is a Miscellaneous section. Try having "Allow physical orders even if no shipping options are available" and "Disable initial shipping and tax estimates" are checked. We ask that you confirm that each product you sell -- digital only? -- has a digital downloadable file assigned to it. If CubeCart considers all products in the shopping basket as digital, no shipping is considered.

  44. You can do if you're comfortable with it and familiar with github. You'd need to look over at cubecarts github and see what issues have been resolved and look at the code changes needed. Editing the core script can get messy if you lose track of what you're doing. Far more simpler to just update the normal way unless your site is running a modified version of cubecart and you don't want to lose those edits (not including 3rd party skins as those are unaffected by core updates).

  45. Hi Rich, There will be an update for my skins at the weekend to cover changes in the latest version of CubeCart. As you have a modified version of the skin you can make use of the manual update guide to apply any front end updates you wish to add your site. As @havenswift-hosting says its best to keep upto date, especially with the cubecarts core script. However, ultimately that is your decision

  46. Hey, I can't offer any guarantees as i don't have access to the plugin and the developers demo site has been suspended (not sure if hes still active with cubecart). Looking at the plugin info and screenshots the only compatibility issues i predict is layout issues on the customer side. Providing the template side of things for the plugin are not encrypted this can be overcome by converting it over to bootstrap layout and adding any additional styling no problem.

  48. Two ways: FTP the folder that was extracted from the ZIP file to CubeCart's /modules/gateways/ folder, or obtain the lightning bolt token and enter it in CubeCart's admin, Manage Extensions page. It will automagically appear in the Extensions list.

  49. We don't have a partnership with Adyen but it's not required. They have exceptional documentation and the integration has been tested under their sandbox. Please do let us know how you get on. Where are you referring to when you say no documents on the CubeCart page? We will reach out to Adyen to see if we can get our integration certified.
