Hi, I have an issue with following error message in error log every time I try to checkout with promotional code: classes/user.class.php:250 - Call to a member function setError() on null Not sure what it means and how exactly this is effecting my store and how this can be solved. If anyone is able to advise please help. Thanks
  2. Hello, I'm configuring Cubecart 6.2.4 @ MySQL 5.7.25-0ubuntu0.18.04.2. I added product description and imgs OK, but when I assign price and press Save and Save and Reload buttons, it does nothing. Nothing is visible on the client side and nothing is written into the DB. There is an empty set in the table CubeCart_pricing_group. What am I doing wrong?
  3. Hi, I have a Cubecart V6.2.x site running very happily, but I now want to offer a single product where the price includes shipping (i.e. free shipping to the customer). All my other products use weight-based shipping with the normal "By weight" shipping module. If the customer orders just this item, then the shipping cost should be zero. If they order other products, then those should attract the shipping costs that they currently do. I've looked around the forum and can't find anything that answers my question. Does one of the other modules (tried the All-in-One, couldn't see it working) have this facility? Thanks Neil
  4. Hi, Technically not Cubecart as such but since 14th February 2019 I noticed that Google Search Console reported errors on products stating "Either 'offers', 'review' or 'aggregateRating' should be specified". Does anyone know how we can fix this issue ? Thanks S.
  5. Hi All. I've been setting up an on-line jewellery store for my son (please click HERE). Everything is fine, nicely customised revved up and ready to go. BUT I've run into a log-jam with Braintree PayPal. I had installed the Braintree extension, went through the Braintree questionnaire, and made a test purchase, everything seemed OK but the payment stalled somewhere. I contacted Braintree and got told that we need to make one completed purchase before the system was fully functional. I thought it a bit strange, but carried on. Made another test purchase, this time the amount got taken from the credit/ debit card account with the bank, but didn't show up as a payment in the PayPal account. More phone calls and a lot of ducking & weaving and a reluctance to divulge anything by Braintree. A few days later a refund for the test purchase was refunded into the card account used for the test purchase. It was getting curiouser and curiouser. Today someone from Ireland contacted us to say that Braintree had declined the service to us! When asked why we were told that it was because on-line jewellery sites are considered high risk???? Consequently we can't use the Braintree payment gateway. When pushed further on this issue, the person on the other end simply answered "I don't know". When asked what payment gateway they would suggest instead of Braintree we were told that we should contact PayPal to set up a 'Pro' (?) service that costs £20.00 per month! I know it's not a lot, but WHY - again we got the "I don't know reply". I'm posting the tale of woe on here to see if anyone has past experience of a similar nature, and if so perhaps they can throw some light on the matter, as Braintree seem too tight lipped to give any in depth explanation. Maybe someone on here can suggest a solution or recommend a gateway that I can use which works well & doesn't cost the earth. Thanks, G.
  6. Did the DB backup before updating to CC 6.2.4, the site has limited storage so I would like to delete the backup DB, is that okay? Or was that created simply because of possible update failure? May be good for the group to know. Thanks
  7. It is possible to have the site not create an order in the system until after the payment type is selected? My site is an online face for my physical store that is a side business for me, I do not do shipping. It is a convenient way for my customers to see what I have in stock and buy/reserve it. Since I do in-person product exchange, I have two payment options on my site: Cash on pickup and paypal. I have had a number of people go into my site, get a cart created then for whatever reason back out and not select a payment type and complete the order. However the system is generating an order on my side and sending emails out that the order is submitted. Then I end up having to contact these people not knowing if they want place an order or not. Is there some way to make it not create the order until the person has selected payment type and hits submit? Honestly a cart is not an order until the buyer has agreed to payment, so not sure why it is doing it so early in the process to begin with.
  8. Hello I'm using the minimaliser skin (blue) and on the category links I have "shirts" with dropdown links. I figured out to increase the font size but I can't figure out how to enlarge the small down-pointing arrow. I'd even be happy just changing it's color to something more noticeable, especially on a mobile device. There the arrow is so small and flush right it's barely visible. www.MisterGreggy.com/shopping
  9. Hey Everyone, Once again back with the same issue that I always have when upgrading. The not being able to login back in to Admin section after upgrade because the famous Security Alert: Possible Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF). Please do not use multiple tabs/windows or the browser back button. Learn more. ERROR. Ofcourse I have tried everything possible as to figure out this issue with no luck as in every single upgrade no matter how I do it, it simply won't work no other way. I used the below setting from "bsmither" help to work around it before, but this does not work on 6.4 version. In /classes/sanitize.class.php, near line 145, find: static private function _stopToken() { Change to: static private function _stopToken() { return; Does anyone know of another or a new way to overide the famous: Security Alert: Possible Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF).   11. After updating from 6.2.2 to 6.2.3 the admin login has vanished. It used to be admin.php but now it isn't. After the successful upgrade, the "links to your login" page was completely blank. I re-ran the update and got this instead. The text has no links on it. There is nothng "admin-like" visible by ftp. Where should I look for an indication of where the problem is? The store is working fine, but I have no way to log in as admn. Any suggestions?

  15. Hello to all CubeCart users of quality and others... I am overwhelmed trying to set up PayPal for my store (www.MisterGreggy.com/shopping). My main confusion is which PayPal API to use. These are the options available: REST Braintree SDK NVP/SOAP I'm using the extension PayPal Pro & Express Checkout payments 1.2.2 Plugin - CubeCart Limited I've attached the admin panel screenshot and the options. Anybody know what's going on here? Thanks!! UPDATE: As per the instructions on the config settings page, I chose REST since it was the only one displaying an option to "Create App". It gave me 3 fields: PayPal Account Client ID Secret The config screen wants this data: Client ID Username Password Signature I have the client ID now, where do I get the info for the other fields? This is frustrating! UPDATE UPDATED: I got a reply from PayPal, hopefully this should work To get your API Username, Password and Signature, follow these steps: • Log into your PayPal account at www.paypal.com • navigate to www.paypal.com/api • Under the NVP/SOAP API Integration heading toward the bottom, click "Manage API credentials". • If you don't already have an API signature, you will need to click on "Request API Signature" then "Agree and Submit". • Click on "Show" next to each of the fields to display the credentials.

  17. Hi all, Is there or have I missed something an option in Admin? I would like a RENEW button on the product page for digital software yearly renewal options, e.g 1-Button at the moment is QTY and Add to Basket 2-I would like that button to have the option to be able changeable (in Admin) to change it to read RENEW and (in Admin) the price can be changed and is lower for the customer (ONLY when the customer is logged in) than the normal price. Is this possible and/or can Cubecart code be changed to add this in..

In the final stage of checking out I fill in the required fields, select the payment method then click "Secure Checkout": If I have left the focus on the payment method radio button (i.e. I have not clicked anywhere else on the page before clicking "Secure Checkout") then things are fine. If I move the focus away from the payment method radio button (i.e. I click somewhere else on the page before clicking "Secure Checkout") then I get a message "Address has been updated and new shipping options may be available. Click "Checkout" to proceed." I guess this is a Javascript problem? It's not a huge problem but will irritate and mystify users. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks
  20. Hi, Our site sells cycling clothing. One item, a "skinsuit", requires two prices to be selected; one for the top part and one for the bottom part.( In fact the range of sizes for the top and bottom parts are identical). I created two Options Groups called "A Men Skinsuit Top Sizes" and "B Men Skinsuit Bottom Sizes" both with the same attributes and with descriptions "A Top Size" and "B Bottom Size" respectively. I then produced two Option Sets similarly named and used these to add Top and Bottom attributes to the product. No matter which Option Set I add first, the B Men Skinsuit Bottom Sizes always appear first in the Product Options list, and when the product is displayed the B Bottom Size drop-down always appears above the A Top Size one. I would like Top to appear above Bottom. (N.B. I added the As and Bs to the names in case alphabetical order was significant somewhere). How can I resolve this? Many thanks.
  21. My update basket button is not working when a customer changes their shipping method. I use AIOS and usually the customer will have three options to choose from. If they select a different method than what is automatically applied (radio button) nothing happens. It seems to me the cart totals should be updated automatically. What's the purpose if they can't see their updated basket totals. Even when the Update Basket button is clicked nothing happens - no update to the shipping price. The only time it updates is when they select the continue to secure checkout button. The next page shows the selected shipping price. This happens if a customer is or is not logged in.   22. Hi. I've taken over managing a site and am new to Cubecart. In 'Store Settings' under 'Social Account' I've added a linkedin URL (and saved) and expected it to show up on the site immediately, but it's not. Is there something else I need to do? From what I can workout, this info is being loaded by the file element.social.php, however, I'm not sure where this file is loaded from. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  23. Good morning.... As I have mentioned in the past, I have a closed and captive customer base at about 60 different locations. Once a user from a certain location leaves (for whatever reason), we disable their "login" then eventually delete their "customer" login. Problem that that will raise... we cannot delete while they have order history. Which is good, because if we just deleted them, we would lose this data. So, is there a way to move this historical data from the location's "terminated" customer to the location's new customer? FYI - "terminated" customer's account is disabled to prevent logins. Thanks for any help.

I'm using Cubecart v.6.17 and faced with the following issue: When client make an order with usage a promo-code, tax is calculated for ((sub-total - discount)+shipping) instead of just (sub-total - discount). For example: Sub-total: 118.00 Discount 10% = 11.80 Shipping = 5.00 !!! Tax 5% = 5.56 (118-11.8+5)*0.05 But it should be 5.31 (118-11.8)*0.05 I have checked all details for a promo code and for the tax, for both of them 'shipping' box isn't selected. If it's famous issue, which was corrected in latest versions, could it be possible to receive a corrected piece of code? Thank you
  25. When I select an image for a product the image file preview is wrong and the actual product image on the site is wrong... How can I fix this? I've tried re uploading the image, clearing the image cache, deleting and reinstalling creating the product again. This only started since I've been using folders to organise my images but I've tried some images outside of folders (just in the main / bit) and yet the same still occurs This affects multiple products on my site
