  1. Hi, i have installed EBS payment gateway for my store www.bumpersales.in I have 2 types of payments : 1. EBS 2. Cash On Delivery I want to change the name of EBS to " Pay Online Via Secure Payment Gateway" as some people dont know what EBS is ? Is there a way to do this ?
  2. Hi I've got the dreaded 'name' is not allowed as key. Seems it's quite a common issue with the web plastered with people asking about this issue. I'm getting it too. This is my first upload to a live staging server so I was never under the impression it was going to be smooth (programmers joke). None-the-less I'm faced with the error and have tried a dozen resets on the DB setup, global.inc.php file and even gone down randomly deleting cache files in hopes I'd solve the problem. I've created a PDO:MySQL test connection using the same details I have in my global.in.php and I can retrieve data with no problems so I assume it's another issue which I've not read about. For the record, I can't seem to get logged into the Admin area either. (username or password incorrect msg). When I log back in locally to check my login details that I have saved I manage to login no problem. There's a message about cache being disabled which I must have turned off a while ago while setting the site up so that may be worth noting. I've re-uploaded all of my files (FTP) to make sure that that wasn't any issues with filezilla communication. I've also taken a fresh dump of the SQL in local PHPMyAdmin and dropped and redumped that into my hosts PHPMyAdmin. preview.zombiesbyte.com preview.zombiesbyte.com/conchecker.php (I just print_r the results of the cubecart_geo_country table as there's nothing sensitive here... I hope lol) My thoughts: # Does CC need to know what domain name it runs from. Locally this is just zombiesbyte.dev but my staging server is preview.zombiesbyte.com while my live will eventually be on SSL under the zombiesbyte.com # I've got cache disabled so I'm not sure if this is a cache issue at all but when it comes to my experience with cache it has always caught me out! # I find it strange that I can't login to admin, that would imply that the database can't be accessed at all using CC's methods (pun intended) but a classic straight forward connection works so I can't figure out the missing piece. # This is where you tell me I've just forgot to change a value somewhere (fingers crossed it's this simple) Many thanks James
  3. I tried to print off an invoice and it gave me a 505 bad gateway error. every time I try it does it but only for this one customer. I can print off other customers orders. it give me this string files/print.f3392b2d3b9044e80f020983020efc99.php I am using 6.0.12
  4. How does one link to a PDF link in a product Description or in a Document. There just doesn't seem to be a button to click which allows one to link? I'm using Cubecart 6.0.10
  5. In Admin->Products->Add new->Pricing there are three fields: Retail price, sale price and cost price. The Help for that page tells me Retail price is the price the customer will have to pay, and sale price if there's some sort of reduction (like "10% off this weekend"). But what is Cost price? Is that the price I (the store owner) pay for the item when buying? The help page says nothing of this field.
  6. Hello! I am really liking the Minimaliser Skin as an option to the Foundation on CCv6. BUT, having an issue with Product Options 'Absolute Price' I was viewing the source code on the product page...comparing the Minimaliser to the Foundation template on the absolute pricing issue I'm having. In my admin, I have the product pricing set at $6.50. I have 3 product options set at these prices with a radio button and set at absolute pricing $6.50, $16.50 and 15.50. In the foundation template, if yur select the $16.50 option, the price changes from $6.50 to $16.50 then you can click add to basket. in the Minimaliser template, if your select the $16.50 option, the price changes from $6.50 to $23.00 then you can add to basket. The differences in the view source coding for this are: Foundation: <input type="radio" name="productOptions[1]" id="rad_option_45" value="45" class="nomarg absolute" data-price="16.50"><label for="rad_option_45" class="return"> Minimaliser: <input type="radio" name="productOptions[1]" id="rad_option_45" value="45" class="nomarg" data-price="16.50"><label for="rad_option_45" class="return"> The difference I am seeing is the class="nomarg absolute" compared to the class="nomarg" The product Options 'Absolute Price' setting is being carried over in the Foundation template and not on the Minimaliser even though 'Absolute Price' is set via the admin panel...I can change the skins, Foundation works, Minimaliser doesn't. Help Please on how and where this can be fixed? Thanks In Advance

Since I only use USA English and will never use any other language is it ok to hard code ALL words that would normally be in the definitions.xml file? example: <button type="submit" value="{$LANG.catalogue.add_to_basket}" class="button addbasket expand">{$LANG.catalogue.add_to_basket}</button> Change to: <button type="submit" value="Add to Basket" class="button addbasket expand">Add to Basket</button> Thanks in advance, Claudia
  9. Hi, We regularly add custom notes to the "Public Note Content" field in the Order Notes. We've inserted the code {$DATA.note_to_customer} into the HTML of the Completed Order email template, but the new lines in the "Public Note Content" field aren't being respected when the email is sent. Example: - "Public Note Content" field: Text line 1 Text line 2 on a new line with a blank line between - Email: Text line 1 Text line 2 on a new line with a blank line between How can we get new lines to appear in the email?   10. Hi, I know that the HTML of the email templates can include a long list of data using the macros listed underneath, but can details captured in the Product Options area be used? I've searched the forums and couldn't see anything... An example: we capture the Make, Model, registration and year of manufacture of motorbikes for one of our membership products (non-physical) as Product Options. We would like to reference these when the Order Complete email gets sent. Can this be done? If so, what would be really handy would be if some logic could be used in the email template along the lines of "If empty, then display no text. If not empty, display Make: DATA.Product.Option.Make_field" - I hope you get the idea. Thanks.
  11. My hosting service has announced they're going from PHP 5.5 to 7.0 I may have missed it in my searches, but I want to make sure the latest version of CC is compatible with PHP7. Thanks for the info! EDIT: I see mixed responses from July about working with php7. There is nothing special I need to do when upgrading my PHP, correct??
  12. Hi! Back again. We discussed at one time, having the ability to add the insurance rates from USPS. It is still not there. Currently we are losing from 2.75-$10 per shipment due to not being able to charge for Insurance. For example, one item sells for 342.10 Cube Cart gives a rate of $9.60 which does not include insurance ($5.80). I did add $2.90 in the field "Handling Cost" to cover the signature. Is there some code I can add to the USPS module that will grab and add the insurance charges from the USPS website to the shipping US and International? Or, worst case scenario, is there a way to just add an additional percentage (for now) to the USPS rates, like 3% of the item total. I think since USPS is giving the info from their site, and CubeCart is receiving that info it is logical to be able to include that in what we are charging for the shipping. I also tried a work around of creating a tax class "Insurance and signature", but unfortunately, it can only apply to one country, not everything. My ideal scenario or set up would be something like the attached screen shots (long term), but is there anything I can do in the short term? Thanks!

  14. Hello, I am not sure if there is a thread for my query already in the forum. I would like to know if there is a way to place a restriction in a product to be sold in a specified area. The reason being is that I am willing to sell items such as fragrances which are restricted to sell internationally. I would much appreciate if you could help me on this. Thanks
  15. Hello Guys! I just want change background color of top categiry menu at storefront, I went through both foundation.css and cubecart.css and other files at: skins/foundation/css. I tried to change background color at .top-bar; top-bar category-nav in foundation.css but it seemed it did not change whatever I clear my browsers 's histories and refresh. Am I using the wrong file? Please give some suggestions. Another point I want suggestions is that I want to change the way storefront Flags (language) from dropdown to make two flags (UK and Lao flags) stands beside, next to each other, showing both flags, rather than clicking. Could you guys give some suggestion, what CSS files should I go through, I think it is in cubecart.css as at about line 198: span.flag { display: inline-block; width: 16px; height: 11px; background: url(../images/sprite_flags.png) no-repeat; } Do I have to do something with sprite flags images? Please suggest me on this? You might suggest me at [email protected]
  16. hi, I know I did this for CC5, but can't remember how. I now run a CC6 store and would like to do this: On the checkout page there is a dropdown menu that says please select and gives the shipping rates options. But above the rates it shows All in One Shipping. i'd like to remove the All in One Shipping wording. Thanks in advance for all the help,
  17. In my skins/contents/addressbook.php 1. I have the label set at large-4 and the textbox at large-8 which makes a total of 12. Why isn't the textbox going across the entire page? 2. In the dropdown for the countries instead of it showing the lowest number iso code, in my case America Samoa since I don't normally ship wordwide, can I have it say something like "please select"? 3. How do I get my default address up next to the checkbox associated with it like the billing address? 4. How can I get the reset button on the same line as the other buttons? Hi, I just changed my skin, cleared cache in site and browser many times, but my plugins are still showing the original versions of their skins though I have uploaded the revised skins and the revised skins show in control panel. Also, Brian, I've lost my previous :: next buttons on my product pages though my code has not changed. On another note, is there anyway to export the customer database from an old store and import it into a new store - and have it functional? Thanks in advance, nomem
  19. Well, I've never seen this before! I added a new product to my store and everthing worked fine. A few minutes later I added a new product went to hit save and noticed the save button was gone on all screens. I went to the product I had previously added and tried to edit it just to see and all the save buttons were gone. I have not touched a thing. Any thoughts?
  20. Hello everyone! I want to do an amendment on the site, so that when the customer would like to buy the site, you can specify the exact amount you want to buy. For example: I want to buy 2.3 kg of meat. (And I want this quantity will put it in the basket) It is a meat 10dkg 30 forints So, 230 x 30 = 6900 Huf This is the total price It would help anyone possibly do that? It would be important!   21. Hi Yesterday, I tried to upgrade to the latest version 6.0.12 but the server was running on a lower PHP. My host has now migrated our website to their newest server. I tried to log in again this morning and my login details are not recognised anymore. I decided to reset the password and it does not even recognise my username and email. I am therefore looked out altogether. How do I go from there ? Thank you S.
  22. I have a site (theolyn.com) I'm building in CC6.0.12. We're based in the UK and prices are in GBP. However, we're taking more sales from the USA and would like to offer an alternative browsing experience there that is more America-friendly. The solution I'd like is: Some sort of script that can identify a visitor's IP address and forward them to a sub-directory of the site as appropriate, so everybody sees the UK site unless they're from the USA, in which case they're forwarded to theolyn.com/us. Having identified a visitor as US-based, prices will then be shown in USD, rather than GBP. The ability to price products in different currencies precisely, so that a product that costs £349.99 can be specified as $449.99, instead of the less customer-friendly conversion of $453.29 (as it happens to be today — it will be slightly different tomorrow). Setting enticing prices in GBP is great, but it's much less enticing to Americans if the price is some awkward conversion, instead of a priced tweaked to be enticing to them. Does anybody know how I can make my site US-friendly, please? Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to help. UPDATE: I note I was in touch with bsmither a while ago on the topic of setting specific prices in different currencies on a per-product basis — see thread here: Assuming he gets back to me with a useful response, I'm just left with the problem of identifying and redirecting users based on IP address.   23. How do I remove the checkout option on my site and only use paypal? When I click on the Checkout button it tells me that there is no payment method defined, but when I click on the paypal button it goes through.... so how do I remove the "Checkout" option
  24. I am using the CC v6 Foundation template and wonder what I am not doing correctly, or why it is not mobile friendly? I have modified the site to fit wide so I can have more products per line, but when I look on the site from my phone its all distorted and definitely squeezing everything in. It looks horrible. How do I get it to be mobile -friendly? I also wondered why the image magnifier is not working either yet the files are installed with the foundation template?? This is my site: www.candesigner.com
  25. I used CC back in the v3 days and it was great for what I needed. These days, there is no shipping out of the box. You have to figure out how to get it all working. On top of that, nothing really works together well or fits nicely within what the titles describe. I don't mean to rant, more so offer assistance if interested. I am going to use a real life scenario, if it can be solved by a combination of existing modules, I retract everything I've said sans the figuring out how to setup shipping part. Let's say I want to sell coins. Raw and graded coins. I also don't trust anyone but USPS. To save everyone money, I will send US Priority and Flat Rate boxes. For security, if the purchase if over X dollars, then registered mail is required. Module breakdown: Per Item - Won't work, but promising. If someone buys 3 x graded coins, it will fit into a smaller package and go US Priority. If they order 4 to 8, Small Flat Rate, etc... If they order raw coins, the space required is much smaller and I can fit probably 10 into a smaller package. If shipping could be broken into specifying a price at an item by item level, it may work. By Weight - Won't work. Raw coins weight almost nothing but take up space within the package. Same issue as above. By Price - I may not fully understand this, but it didn't seem to work when testing the aforementioned scenario. All In One - This is the closest needed and I am thinking about extending it. What I really need is a shipping tab on the product page to specify overrides for global defaults. It can be abstracted out to a set of shipping options or case size options (maybe just a lookup table) and a builder tool. Something like some words and drop downs or text autofills ... Product -> Shipping Item Shipping Cost: $XX Items that fit in case: X Special Requirements: - Signature Required (Registered Mail) Then I test my scenario: Client purchases 10 raw coins and 3 graded coins. Raw coins are set a 10 per case and shipping at $2.95 for US Priority Mail. Graded coins have two per case. Which bumps it to the next size, Small Flat Rate. Success? Yes, but how did it know that 10 raw and 2 graded fit? This would introduce a dimensions aspect, which doesn't appear to exist. Why? Client purchases 21 raw coins. We have raw coins at 10 per case so we need 3 cases. That bumps it up to Medium. Success? Yes, but how did it know? The system would need to know how many of each item type can fit in each case size OR case sizes could be introduced in which they know how many of which item type can fit into a case. However, we don't have product dimension support nor a shipping module with a concept of shipping based on dimensions or cases that are multiples of the same size (i.e. 1 cubic foot, 2 cubic feet, etc...). Production options didn't seem helpful either, but again I may not be using them correctly. I did't see them get into the product/shipping level either. I don't see much that does get to the product level in regard to shipping. This could all be just too specific to be and either needs abstracted out a bit more or I would just have to run with it for my own use ... it also turned into a brain dump. Again, I don't mean to complain and do nothing about it. I would like to help. I am not the best but am PHP ZCE certified and have been doing this for like 15 years. Thoughts appreciated.
