  1. In the skin's config.xml, find the <image reference="category">. It is set for 800 pixels on the longest dimension. Change this to 900. It will auto-scale down to fit the container (which is 848 px wide). Next, you will need to find the CSS rule (I do not know where it would be.): .cat-hdr-img img { margin: 0px auto 5px; } Change to: .cat-hdr-img img { margin: 0 0 5px; } This CSS change will remove the margin that the browser adds to either side of the image, in equal part, to center the image in the slightly wider container. Be sure to clear Cubecart's cache.

  2. The developer will probably / should be releasing a new version of the skin to take account of all of the skin changes included in this recent version. However, if you are using a modified version, then that update will not automatically apply to your store and you should chat to the developer about this. If you dont make all the front end skin changes then you wont be able to take advantage of any fixes / new functionality that has been added - you may say that you dont need this functionality but it is always best to stay fully up to date because the situation simply gets worse and worse with each upgrade that is released - this is the problem with having custom changes

A 'throbber' (spinning circle) that does not go away indicates that the javascript that is supposed to cancel the throbber and make the browser proceed to the next step, has crashed, failed to start, or failed to load. Failing to load could be caused by a browser extension that prohibits fetching javascript from non-whitelisted sources. While stuck on the CloudFlare page, examine the browser settings menu for a "Developer" section, then view the browser 'console'. It will indicate the cause of being stuck on the CloudFlare page.

  13. Configuring Mod Security is a server administrator's responsibility. As best I know, Mod Security is configurable on a per site basis. Therefore, it may be the case that your other website may (or may not) have Mod Security installed, and/or configured differently. We would encourage you to contact your hosting provider for assistance.

  14. Decided to persist with getting the wamp server to work in a ssl mode, so I could use PayPal commerce working offline with CubeCart. Well it has gone 10pm now and after looking at lots of variations on other sites and lots of trial and error, I have FINALLY got the PayPal Commerce extension working fully in wamp, meaning I can develop my sites offline and upload to live servers when completed... Yay.!!! This is the difference with working with outfits like CubeCart, you get help rather than sarcasm and assistance rather than bitter critique. Forwards and onwards..... Thanks Al

  15. Thank you. By way of a bit of background for you. In the early stages of our online shop journey we checked out many different platforms including some of the well known names such as ZenCart. We found the setup of these other platforms to be quite difficult and certainly not as well organised and intuitive as CubeCart. The ease of setup and the organised admin area were the main reasons for us deciding to go with CubeCart, a good decision and we look forward to using it for a long time to come. These forum pages have been a big help, we really appreciate you being there and the assistance you provide, keep up the good work because no doubt I'll be back

  17. For step D, be sure that the updated plugins (that needs the ionCube that works with PHP 7.4) are not enabled. Otherwise, there is still the situation of an ionCube-encoded plugin wanting a later version of ionCube that is not running under PHP 5.6. Otherwise, the above is the sequence of steps I would suggest.

  18. Try to get back to PHP 5.6. Hopefully, you can resume store operations. If not, please add this statement, as the next-to-last line, to the /includes/global.inc.php file: $glob['safe_mode'] = true; This will have CubeCart not load any plugins. Doing this is based on the assumption that perhaps there is an installed plugin that requires the ionCube extension to PHP. That extension may still be a PHP 5.6 version. Additionally, plugins that use ionCube are coded against a specific version of the ionCube extension. So, even if the installed version of the ionCube extension is for PHP 7.1, the plugin also requires a new 'build' against that specific version of the ionCube extension. Please determine if there are any plugins by Noodleman or Havenswift that are installed on your site. If so, request updated versions of those plugins for PHP 7.4 (and switch to PHP 7.4 for your site).

  20. In Catalogue Mode, customers are not even able to add items to a shopping basket. So, there is no way for CubeCart to log what the customer wanted. The admin can try to not enable any Payment Gateways. A shopping basket should be created and an Order Summary created, which the store owner can review and amend in CubeCart's administrative backend. But there will be no means for the customer to actually pay for the items via CubeCart.

Hi @kiwi To add selected document links to the category menu you'll need to add them manually Open - amzin > templates > box.navigation.php Find lines 29-31 {if $CTRL_SALE} <li><a class="sale-link" href="{$URL.saleitems}" data-level="1" title="{$LANG.navigation.saleitems}"><i class="fas fa-tag"></i> {$LANG.navigation.saleitems}</a></li> {/if} Now just below it (before the </ul>) add your document links using the following structure <li><a href="###LINKHERE###" data-level="1" title="Document One"> Document One</a></li> To make the images responsive you'll need to remove the height/width styling from the html content and add class="img-responsive" to each of the image html elements. To do this, click on the document page in the admin panel and select the content tab then add images as normal. Then press the "source" button in the top left corner of the editor. Your images will look something like : <img alt="" src="/CubeCart/images/source/prod_01_a.png" style="width: 510px; height: 510px;" /> Now, remove the styling and add class="img-responsive" so it would look something like <img alt="" src="/CubeCart/images/source/prod_01_a.png" class="img-responsive" />

  26. Sorry for the delay. One option would be to use the HTML <video> element in your category description. So you would upload a mp4/webm or ogg video to your site then when writing your description click the source button on the text editor and use something like <video> <source src="catvideo.mp4" type="video/mp4"> Your browser does not support the video tag. </video> Only issue is you'd have to play around with adding some other html and styling to try and get the layout right. Alternatively you could add a button and have the video load in a pop-up modal.

  28. In admin, Store Settings, Advanced tab, enable debugging and enter your IP address in the adjacent field (www.showmyip.com). Then, on the Layout tab, verify there is a value greater than '1' for Number of popular products to display. Also note the Source data for popular products. Then request your homepage. At the bottom of the page will be a grey section with a lot of some diagnostic info. If the source is by Product Views, then have the browser find ORDER BY popularity DESC. If by Sales, have the browser find ORDER BY `quantity` DESC. If neither query is present, then we need to look elsewhere.

  30. Hi @radman420 Sounds odd, neither the CC6.4.1 update or the skin update would affect the visibility of the popular products section as from my knowledge nothing was changed in relation to that. This behaviour is not occurring on any of my test setups so not sure what the cause would be. Have you tried going to site settings > layout and clicking save , then clear your sites cache ? Also, if you right click on the area the box normally is then click "inspect" or "inspect element" can you any html code in the console panel that relates to the popular products? Thanks, NiteFox

  31. Hey, No, you'd go from the one above the version you have installed as any below it will already be done in the skin. So if you installed Amzin V1.02 then you'd only want V1.03 and above updates. If you go to yoursite > skins > amzin > docs > changelog.txt the top entry shows which version of amzin you had when you installed the skin. I'm guessing you have Amzin V1.02 installed so the only one i would say is necessary would be on V1.03 - #23 Prevent Add To Cart Cache Once your store is running CubeCart 6.4.1 then you'll need #16 to #21 (SEO EXT Support) to fix the login/register/search URLs The updates in the guide only cover skin edits to support core features, some of which cover new features added in CubeCart V6.4.1. So to use those features you'd need to upgrade your store to CubeCart V6.4.1 which is entirely separate from skin updates. Just doing skin updates won't update CubeCart's core.

As you have a modified version of the skin you can make use of the manual update guide to apply any front end updates you wish to add your site. As @havenswift-hosting says its best to keep upto date, especially with the cubecarts core script. However, ultimately that is your decision

Hey @priceisrightsuperstore The store logo is styled by the following classes - .main-logo and .main-logo img in basix > css > style.css starting at line 220 which both have a css rule max-height of 60px. So you will need to modify both of those classes to get you desired look. The "Shop by Category" tab is 50px so the logo is already exceeding the size tab. Also, after making any changes remember you may need to clear your browser cache as well the site cache.

  36. Hi @NiteFox Thank you it worked fine. I know what you mean about the "Latest" page, but thats fine, I would rather all product have "From" than non. I have options on some products that are more expensive and got a few questions about why the final proce in the cart was different to what was shown on the home page. As for the "Categories" page, that just perfection. Once again, thank you very much.

Hi @captinmax Sorry for the delay for the Latest Products the only solution would be to display the "From" prefix for all products shown in that area as theres no direct check that can be made from the template. To achieve that you would do the following: Open file skins > amzin > templates > content.homepage.php around line 67 find : <div class="product-price"> {if $product.ctrl_sale} <div class="price-group"> <span class="old-price">{$product.price}</span> <span class="current-price">{$product.sale_price}</span> </div> {else} <span class="current-price">{$product.price}</span> {/if} </div> and change it to: <div class="product-price"> <div><small>From</small></div> {if $product.ctrl_sale} <div class="price-group"> <span class="old-price">{$product.price}</span> <span class="current-price">{$product.sale_price}</span> </div> {else} <span class="current-price">{$product.price}</span> {/if} </div> as for the product page, personally i wouldn't recommend placing it on the product page as theres no simple solution to showing/hiding the "from" text as you would want it to be dynamic so that it disappears once an option is selected so that the customer sees a final price and not a from price. Then if your options are optional then you don't want to display a from price incase no options are selected. Agreed - failed upgrades have been very common in the past when done via the built in upgrade option and often result in a mix of files from different versions - this will cause this type of problem. It has been covered in quite a few threads on here before and a manual upgrade would definitely solve it. Ian

  44. We would ask that you verify the name of the database as stated in /includes/global.inc.php matches the actual name of the database as seen in your hosting account's control panel (Cpanel?). Also, if the database tables have a prefix, make sure it matches what is given in global.inc.php. Not allowing a table column's name as the "key" to fetch the row's contents usually means the requested table doesn't exist, or CubeCart is using a table prefix when it shouldn't, or v.v.
