  1. In the skin's config.xml, find the <image reference="category">. It is set for 800 pixels on the longest dimension. Change this to 900. It will auto-scale down to fit the container (which is 848 px wide). Next, you will need to find the CSS rule (I do not know where it would be.): .cat-hdr-img img { margin: 0px auto 5px; } Change to: .cat-hdr-img img { margin: 0 0 5px; } This CSS change will remove the margin that the browser adds to either side of the image, in equal part, to center the image in the slightly wider container. Be sure to clear Cubecart's cache.

  2. The developer will probably / should be releasing a new version of the skin to take account of all of the skin changes included in this recent version. However, if you are using a modified version, then that update will not automatically apply to your store and you should chat to the developer about this. If you dont make all the front end skin changes then you wont be able to take advantage of any fixes / new functionality that has been added - you may say that you dont need this functionality but it is always best to stay fully up to date because the situation simply gets worse and worse with each upgrade that is released - this is the problem with having custom changes

  6. Did this transaction pass 3D secure? If so I believe it should be protected and you shouldn't be liable to chargeback fees. Our PayPal integration has much more granular settings. If you want to you can choose to only accept payments that pass 3D secure. With that setting enabled you are never liable to chargeback fees. The square extension could have this feature added.

  7. Why, why, why you have to be so smart @bsmither? That's exactly what the issue was, since initially they both had the same route /powerball the system added a re-direct when leaving blank, creating the redirection. Is there a module, under product page, tab #product spec, to have custom stuff? I could jam everything into the actual product page but it would be cool to add some custom stuff, in our case we don't need to specify the code or if it's new or used. Thanks again kid, Happy Thanksgiving of whatever you celebrate today!

  8. A 'throbber' (spinning circle) that does not go away indicates that the javascript that is supposed to cancel the throbber and make the browser proceed to the next step, has crashed, failed to start, or failed to load. Failing to load could be caused by a browser extension that prohibits fetching javascript from non-whitelisted sources. While stuck on the CloudFlare page, examine the browser settings menu for a "Developer" section, then view the browser 'console'. It will indicate the cause of being stuck on the CloudFlare page.

  9. Using a programmer's text editor, please make this edit. In /classes/catalogue.class.php, near line 893: From: $GLOBALS['catalogue']->searchCatalogue((int)$_GET['cat_id'], $page, $catalogue_products_per_page); To: $GLOBALS['catalogue']->searchCatalogue($_GET['cat_id'], $page, $catalogue_products_per_page); The variable $_GET['cat_id'] could actually contain the value 'sale'. Should this text value be cast to a numerical type, it equals 0, for which there is nothing to be found. The use of (int) was added in an attempt to solve some other problem.

  10. Another popular open source cart that brought v4 out recently had also taken PayPal Std out (and a few other things), has found a considerable number of its members have now reverted back to using the earlier v3, which also has a separate branch on Github, where developers have now upgraded it so it will run on PHP 8. Say what you will, but people like to have choices. Interestingly enough, whilst using another cart solution last week and going out to PayPal using Std PayPal on PayPal live site, that also brought up the option to pay later? That certainly not something that has ever shown up on there before. I will contact PayPal myself, to ask why they asking people to agree to an undisclosed partnership 'agreement' when signing up to PayPal Commerce (on any platform), as that just not right. Absolutely no mention of rates, extra charges, changes to seller responsibilities or anything else. Not good.!

  19. Configuring Mod Security is a server administrator's responsibility. As best I know, Mod Security is configurable on a per site basis. Therefore, it may be the case that your other website may (or may not) have Mod Security installed, and/or configured differently. We would encourage you to contact your hosting provider for assistance.

  20. Decided to persist with getting the wamp server to work in a ssl mode, so I could use PayPal commerce working offline with CubeCart. Well it has gone 10pm now and after looking at lots of variations on other sites and lots of trial and error, I have FINALLY got the PayPal Commerce extension working fully in wamp, meaning I can develop my sites offline and upload to live servers when completed... Yay.!!! This is the difference with working with outfits like CubeCart, you get help rather than sarcasm and assistance rather than bitter critique. Forwards and onwards..... Thanks Al

  22. If you are used to using it, then it should not have gotten out of hand like I am theorizing it did -- if it did! You can always try a sandboxed effort of applying the CC646 edits of the new code to a copy of that file from CC645 and see if it happens again. If you have a mind to. Good reviews about Notepad++. (I don't use it because it doesn't do a few things I find very useful.)

  24. Brains suggestion is definately the way to go initially. Create a new file ini-custom.inc.php in the root of your store. I did have issues with the memory size when i did this, so you might want to play with this. <?php # Custom initialization commands # Filename: ini-custom.inc.php # File location: main CubeCart folder ini_set('memory_limit', '256M'); ini_set('max_execution_time', '60'); ini_set('error_log', 'error_log'); ini_set('log_errors', 'on'); ?> To add to this, Cubecart support is extermely fair. You'd be hard pushed to find dedicated product support at such a price anywhere else. https://www.cubecart.com/technical-support

  25. Attached is a report that covers the edits needed to make CC645 run under PHP 8.1. Of course, without a comprehensive testing procedure plan - preferably automated - hitting every feature and function that CubeCart can do is impractical. As such, I advise against running this in a production environment, for now. However, I believe I've found and fixed the Fatal Errors, Warnings, Deprecated Notices, as well as a number of general notices that became visible under PHP 8.1, and made a number of code optimizations, but only in the core code. I have chosen to not make a fork of CC645. For those who want to slog through the edits, I hope they will be able to discern the reasons for each change. Any module encoded with ionCube will need a new version from the publisher. The publisher should also take it upon themselves to test their modules under PHP 8.1. Some additional insights can be found reading the latest Github issues. PHP8.1_Changes.txt.zip

  26. Hi, I just tried this again with with PayPal Commerce 1.6.2 and still no joy, therefore I downloaded the 1.6.2 code to get a better look .. And this is what I found - /** * CubeCart v6 * ======================================== * CubeCart is a registered trade mark of CubeCart Limited * Copyright CubeCart Limited 2019. All rights reserved. * UK Private Limited Company No. 5323904 * ======================================== * Web: http://www.cubecart.com * Email: [email protected] * License: GPL-3.0 http://opensource.org/licenses/GPL-3.0 */ function ppcp_body_js($tpl_output, Smarty_Internal_Template $template) { $skins = $GLOBALS['gui']->getSkinData()['info']; // $skin = $GLOBALS['gui']->getSkinData(); if (($pp_config = $GLOBALS['cache']->read('pp_config.'.$skins['name'])) === false) { if(file_exists('modules/plugins/paypal_commerce/config.custom.json')) { $pp_config = file_get_contents('modules/plugins/paypal_commerce/config.custom.json'); } else if(file_exists('modules/plugins/paypal_commerce/config.'.$skins['name'].'.json')) { $pp_config = file_get_contents('modules/plugins/paypal_commerce/config.'.$skins['name'].'.json'); } else { $pp_config = file_get_contents('modules/plugins/paypal_commerce/config.foundation.json'); } $GLOBALS['cache']->write($pp_config, 'pp_config.'.$skins['name']); } if(isset($GLOBALS['cart']->basket['total']) && $GLOBALS['cart']->basket['total'] > 0) { $pp_amount = $GLOBALS['cart']->basket['total']; } else { $pp_amount = "null"; } return preg_replace('/\<\/body\>/i','<script id="pp_config" type="application/json">'.$pp_config.'</script><script> var pp_config = JSON.parse(document.getElementById(\'pp_config\').textContent) var pp_amount = '.$pp_amount.';</script></body>', $tpl_output); return $tpl_output; } $GLOBALS['smarty']->registerFilter("output","ppcp_body_js"); On about the third line of code you can see I have replaced a line. Now the thing is that this was never going to work the variable '$skin' is never referenced in the code so its clearly in error. The question is why did nobody else experience the same ? Its probably because, and this is just a guess, many other skins are strongly based upon the foundation skin, but as I say that's only a guess .. Anyway it seems to be working now but no production test yet.. Chris.

  27. It should, however it hasen't been updated since 2017. Which only means that, since it is encoded with ionCube, the encoded files must have been built with a matching version of the encoder for the version of PHP it is running under. Even though the current encoded files are built for "PHP 5.6 and above", this does not mean they will work on any version of PHP7 - which your hosting provider has likely configured your hosted account to use. The publisher, @Noodleman, will need to build encoded files for PHP 7.

  28. I had issues with SendinBlue. I don't recall the exact scenario, but it went along the lines of them rejecting my mailing campaign half way through sending. I quickly spent my credits and went elsewhere. Moosend is perfect for our requirements, although they are fussy with certain address uploads.

  31. For CubeCart not accepting any of the general store settings probably means that one or more of the admin-supplied data items is extraordinarily long. Settings that could get out-of-hand include a really long Offline Message, or a really long Copyright Text. All the data is probably getting sent from the browser to CubeCart, but then CubeCart wants to "serialize" all that data, and the limit is 64KiB. You might also want to create the error log to see if CubeCart is complaining about anything. https://forums.cubecart.com/topic/51550-how-to-create-the-error-log/

  32. So there must be another cache. A content delivery network proxy or something typically used by cheap hosting providers. Does the basket reliably hold its contents between page loads?

  33. Hi Lyd, If you edit the page/document via the admin panel "status" should be ticked and "Show link to document in storefront?" unticked. This should hide the link in the footer but leave the content accessible by the new nav link. If you are linking to a category, don't create a new page/document as stated in step 1. Simply just do step 2 and use the url for the category for the link. Thanks.

  34. Hey @radman Pretty sure i have gotten to the bottom of it. Due to a recent change with CubeCart the Sale Items / Gift Certificates links don't appear to work in the way that they used to which in turn affects the way that i used them in the template. So, as a solution if you like them above the search box i would suggest you hard code them. If this is a route you would like to take please find the instructions below: in skins > amzin > templates > main.php around lines 74 - 79 find {if $CTRL_CERTIFICATES && !$CATALOGUE_MODE} <li><a href="{$URL.certificates}" title="{$LANG.navigation.giftcerts}"><i class="fas fa-gift"></i> {$LANG.navigation.giftcerts}</a></li> {/if} {if $CTRL_SALE} <li><a class="sale-link" href="{$URL.saleitems}" title="{$LANG.navigation.saleitems}"><i class="fas fa-tag"></i> {$LANG.navigation.saleitems}</a></li> {/if} and simply replace them with <li><a href="https://mybikerleather.com/gift-certificates.html" title="{$LANG.navigation.giftcerts}"><i class="fas fa-gift"></i> {$LANG.navigation.giftcerts}</a></li> <li><a class="sale-link" href="https://mybikerleather.com/sale-items.html" title="{$LANG.navigation.saleitems}"><i class="fas fa-tag"></i> {$LANG.navigation.saleitems}</a></li> Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this oversight.

  35. @traylor23 you are very welcome ! One takeaway is that you might want to look into the frequency and accessibility of backups your hosting company is doing. Minimum has to be full off-server backup once per day but even that for busy transactional sites can lead to massive data loss. As an example, we do hourly Continuous Data Protection backups !

  36. So, the browser did not find ORDER BY popularity DESC. The next step I would like for you to do is edit the skin template box.popular.php and at the very end of the file, add {debug}. Save the edited file. When you next ask for the Homepage, your browser will want to popup a window. Let it. (You may need to request the Homepage a second time if you need to give permission for the popup.) The popup contains all the variables assigned to the template. Scroll down to near the bottom and find $POPULAR in the left pane. If it is there, is there a value for it as shown in the right pane? It might be an array with 20 elements. (Do not post the array here. Just indicate if it is an array with 20 elements, or if the value is something else.)
    1 point
  37. The debug section can be quite lengthy. Your browser has the ability to Find things in the web page. Usually by the keyboard combo CTRL-f. In the small bar that opens (maybe at the bottom of the browser window) enter one of the terms I mentioned above. If not found, find for the other term. Do NOT copy/paste the entire debug section into a forum post.

  38. Hey @radman420 Just checked your site and theres no trace of the missing box so i can only assume that no data is been passed to $POPULAR used for it. Does it reappear if you switch to the foundation skin?
    1 point
  39. Hi @radman420 Sounds odd, neither the CC6.4.1 update or the skin update would affect the visibility of the popular products section as from my knowledge nothing was changed in relation to that. This behaviour is not occurring on any of my test setups so not sure what the cause would be. Have you tried going to site settings > layout and clicking save , then clear your sites cache ? Also, if you right click on the area the box normally is then click "inspect" or "inspect element" can you any html code in the console panel that relates to the popular products? Thanks, NiteFox

  44. Hey @priceisrightsuperstore The store logo is styled by the following classes - .main-logo and .main-logo img in basix > css > style.css starting at line 220 which both have a css rule max-height of 60px. So you will need to modify both of those classes to get you desired look. The "Shop by Category" tab is 50px so the logo is already exceeding the size tab. Also, after making any changes remember you may need to clear your browser cache as well the site cache.

  45. Hi @NiteFox Thank you it worked fine. I know what you mean about the "Latest" page, but thats fine, I would rather all product have "From" than non. I have options on some products that are more expensive and got a few questions about why the final proce in the cart was different to what was shown on the home page. As for the "Categories" page, that just perfection. Once again, thank you very much.

  46. A scenario has been known to happen whenever one mouse-swipes some text to select it, then copies it to the clipboard, and then pastes the clipboard to a text entry field -- that the mouse-swipe inadvertently also includes hidden white-space: a tab character, a space character, a newline character. So, in this scenario, which can and does happen everywhere, extra illegal (invisible) characters was part of the token sent to the Marketplace.
