  1. In the skin's config.xml, find the <image reference="category">. It is set for 800 pixels on the longest dimension. Change this to 900. It will auto-scale down to fit the container (which is 848 px wide). Next, you will need to find the CSS rule (I do not know where it would be.): .cat-hdr-img img { margin: 0px auto 5px; } Change to: .cat-hdr-img img { margin: 0 0 5px; } This CSS change will remove the margin that the browser adds to either side of the image, in equal part, to center the image in the slightly wider container. Be sure to clear Cubecart's cache.

  2. The developer will probably / should be releasing a new version of the skin to take account of all of the skin changes included in this recent version. However, if you are using a modified version, then that update will not automatically apply to your store and you should chat to the developer about this. If you dont make all the front end skin changes then you wont be able to take advantage of any fixes / new functionality that has been added - you may say that you dont need this functionality but it is always best to stay fully up to date because the situation simply gets worse and worse with each upgrade that is released - this is the problem with having custom changes

  4. There will be some problems with PHP 8.0+. There are several incompatible changes compared to earlier PHP version families. PHP 7.3 is in the same situation as PHP 5 - end of life. I think PHP 7.4 would work without too much trouble for CC642, - again, end of life.

  10. Did this transaction pass 3D secure? If so I believe it should be protected and you shouldn't be liable to chargeback fees. Our PayPal integration has much more granular settings. If you want to you can choose to only accept payments that pass 3D secure. With that setting enabled you are never liable to chargeback fees. The square extension could have this feature added.

  11. Hm. We can see that right away CubeCart is told to use fr-FR, but the phrases are not coming from that language pack. (See Debug Messages[0]) Please examine the following and try the suggested action: In admin, Languages, take note of any actual entries in the Domain column (not the slightly greyed-out suggested examples). If there are actual entries, blank them out and Save. Have CubeCart clear its internal cache. Did anything change?

Another popular open source cart that brought v4 out recently had also taken PayPal Std out (and a few other things), has found a considerable number of its members have now reverted back to using the earlier v3, which also has a separate branch on Github, where developers have now upgraded it so it will run on PHP 8. Say what you will, but people like to have choices. Interestingly enough, whilst using another cart solution last week and going out to PayPal using Std PayPal on PayPal live site, that also brought up the option to pay later? That certainly not something that has ever shown up on there before. I will contact PayPal myself, to ask why they asking people to agree to an undisclosed partnership 'agreement' when signing up to PayPal Commerce (on any platform), as that just not right. Absolutely no mention of rates, extra charges, changes to seller responsibilities or anything else. Not good.!

  16. I am not sure what I have done wrong, this still does not seem to work. I have even rebooted my puter. I assume somehow I am not able to "reload resources" I am off to find how to do that. On my laptop I have to press Fn button to get to function keys. When I hit Shift+Fn+F5 I get something that looks like it wants to record something likw a macro or something. I should say I am on Firefox. WORKS PERFECT!!! I had to use CTRL+Fn+F5 Now the images work as described by bsmither. I will say this is a bit tedious and hope it gets fixed in the source soon. But until then bsmither is always awesome!!!

  19. A Zone, for whatever purpose (i.e., having countries), but no shipping rates for that zone, will not have any rates to offer the customer to choose. Yes, the zone will match (Canada, for example), but there will be no rate available -- neither because, for any of the rates that could be supplied, none fit the conditions, nor because there are no rates at all. Thus (in later versions of AIOS), the module will try to match a rate's conditions listed in "Rest of World". So, short answer, a zone with no rates is as good as being disabled (suspended), and as good as having been deleted, and as good as not having been created at all. The point of the "Uncheck to Suspend" feature is to keep the zone with its list of rates intact, but to not use them.

  20. An enhancement regarding Gift Cards allows: the admin to assign a collection of images to the Gift Card system. One image is the default (master). the admin to have a text editor to add more content to the Gift Card purchase page. the customer to choose an image when purchasing a Gift Card. for the additional content to appear on the Gift Card purchase page. At checkout, a small-sized image of the chosen image appears in the list of basket items. For a physical Gift Card, the card can be (pre)printed with the chosen image. For an emailed notice, the HTML content can now include a link to the image the customer chose. For example, the collection of images may include birthday, Mother's day, Winter holiday, Valentine's day, Thank You, and other themes. This enhancement is not a plugin. It involves hard code edits.

  21. My solution was to remove the registration page link from my skin and form fields within the registration page. I only have the the option to create an account on the checkout, therefore users and spammers will need to place an order to create an account, genuine users will do so but the spammers wont proceed. Has worked well for me for 2 years, no fake accounts created. I believe they create fake accounts so your shop sends registration emails or password resets to their targets & used to spam people and will give your store/email a bad reputation, some users may report these emails as spam and accounts like google mail will auto junk any future mail you send or your report your site to your hosting provider for sending spam.

  23. Thank you. By way of a bit of background for you. In the early stages of our online shop journey we checked out many different platforms including some of the well known names such as ZenCart. We found the setup of these other platforms to be quite difficult and certainly not as well organised and intuitive as CubeCart. The ease of setup and the organised admin area were the main reasons for us deciding to go with CubeCart, a good decision and we look forward to using it for a long time to come. These forum pages have been a big help, we really appreciate you being there and the assistance you provide, keep up the good work because no doubt I'll be back

  25. If you have CubeCart's debug mode enabled, turn it off. I *believe* that switching off Debug mode will quiet the PHP8 Warnings (used to be Notices in PHP7). As for Google, please see: https://github.com/cubecart/v6/issues/3047

  26. In Catalogue Mode, customers are not even able to add items to a shopping basket. So, there is no way for CubeCart to log what the customer wanted. The admin can try to not enable any Payment Gateways. A shopping basket should be created and an Order Summary created, which the store owner can review and amend in CubeCart's administrative backend. But there will be no means for the customer to actually pay for the items via CubeCart.

  28. That would be in the AIOS module's control panel. On the admin Navigation pane, click the Manage Extensions. From the list of extensions shown, click the Edit icon for All in One Shipping. On the module's administration control panel, General tab, Debugging, select "Debug Enabled (Verbose)".

  32. We need to find out why they aren't 'sticking'. My experience tells me to first look at those settings that could possibly make the aggregate amount of content larger than 64KiB. Those settings are the Offline Message and Copyright Text. Then second, look at the error log.

  35. The POF module prior to 1.2.2 had its own code to email a courtesy email confirming the order was placed. Version 1.2.2 now is supposed to use the established code in CubeCart's core codebase. Looking at 1.2.2 (version 1.3.0 is the same), it seems more work needed was mentioned to the programmers, but didn't get done.   39. @radman420 by data issue i mean that it would appear no data (in this case Products) is been supplied to the $POPULAR variable which is used to load the popular products section. Since it appears to happen in both the Foundation and Amzin skin that would suggest that it isn't caused by the skins. All i can suggest is pop a message in Technical Help section as this is beyond a skin issue. Perhaps something went wrong during the CubeCart Update or a setting has changed. I'm running 6.4.1 with Amzin and Foundation and the popular box is loading fine so i'm not sure whats causing yours to not load since you updated.

  41. Please look at Store Settings, Features tab, at the bottom is a Miscellaneous section. Try having "Allow physical orders even if no shipping options are available" and "Disable initial shipping and tax estimates" are checked. We ask that you confirm that each product you sell -- digital only? -- has a digital downloadable file assigned to it. If CubeCart considers all products in the shopping basket as digital, no shipping is considered.

  44. Hi @NiteFox Thank you it worked fine. I know what you mean about the "Latest" page, but thats fine, I would rather all product have "From" than non. I have options on some products that are more expensive and got a few questions about why the final proce in the cart was different to what was shown on the home page. As for the "Categories" page, that just perfection. Once again, thank you very much.

  49. If i enter in to admin > products and bring up a list of products, there's no indication which items are discounted or on sale. So the only way to see which items we have listed on sale is via the customer side. Am i missing something obvious ?
