When I tried to update several plugins today I get an error when I insert the new token to update a plugin. A red bar come up and it reads, " Its not been possible to read the contents of the file." I found that if I manually down load/upload the files, the token works. I did a search of cubecart and did not find any prior art on this issue. Has any one else seen this? Any ideas? upgrades.docx

When I copy a link to Facebook for a product, the thumbnail that shows up is my store logo and the information is also general site information and NOT related to the product. Can someone tell me what needs to be done so that I can post direct product links and have the information show up on Facebook? Also, the images that show up are not optimized for the posts, maybe there is a plugin for this? If there is, I have not come across one specifically solving this problem.

Hi All, I added a document in the admin section, now none of my pages will scroll. The only other thing I did was add text to the header. But every was fine after I did that. I only started after adding the page. I use e Shift The side bar moves, but the page does nothing. I tried IE & Chrome. I tried other skins and it works fine. Seems to be limited only to e Shift Skin.

I've noticed that any of my product codes that contain hyphens, e.g. 'ABC-1', are stored in the database instead as 'ABC?1'. They do display correctly in the store, so somewhere in CubeCart they are converted back and forth, but I haven't been able to find out where yet. This becomes an issue (albeit one that can easily be worked around) when trying to match product codes using direct SQL queries or, for example, reading in a CSV file to automatically update prices. Anyway, since hyphens don't have any particular special meaning in SQL when included in a string, what is the reason for the conversion?

Could somebody advise why the following code, place in the .htaccess file, is not executing? Since the upgrade now when I click Recommend button the incorrect image appears??? Where can I find the path error for this please? I don't know if Im allowed to point to the error but if you look at www.RaggedyBird.com you'll see what I mean. Best wishes,.... N. Armstrong.

Hello Good People.... I've used CC for many years now though not from its birth sadly. I have an issue. I wanted to install the Chinese Language. The system allowed me to list Chinese as a language, and even had a slot for the conversion currency for HKD (Hong Kong Dollars) but thats way off and doesnt seem to compute at all so in HKD everything is about 97% discounted. :). Tired of going round in circles..... I want to delete the CHINESE Language I set up. It has no flag. Looks bad. Tries to load in the extension .gif with no prefix for the image filename, I cannot edit or delete this language and am scratching my head as to how on earth to get the languages back as they were. lang1.jpg image shows the missing graphic holder. lang2.jpg shows the impossibility to delete the Chinese error in the language set and will NOT allow status changes.. Help would be superb. Token payment for a technician to go in and sort it is also available. But I cant afford CC's current fees sadly. They wont fit the budget. Thanks for reading. Neil.

We have been running on the latest cubecart for a few weeks now and have noticed 2 orders that did not save the customer entered textbox options for the items for the order. We do know that the customer did enter options for this because if we check the email we received as admins for the order notification, the options are shown and the data the customer entered is shown, however when we look at the order in the backend, it shows nothing being entered for those textbox options for that order. I even checked the database with MyPHPAdmin and the options that the customer entered are not saved in there. This is not happening for all orders only 2 of them are showing this issue out of 60 so in the past few weeks. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? Anybody else seeing this? Hello Cubecart Forums, I seem to be having an issue and I am not entirely sure where to start, our store is pumping out the below approx every 1-2 seconds in the error log. The store seems to be working fine at the moment but any attempts to use in inbuilt error log viewer results in general unpleasantness. I downloaded the log to view it but cant find an editor happy with the entire 1Gb file but I managed to scrape out the below. Any thoughts? I am having some trouble with the upgrade process. I downloaded CubeCart v6.0.8, extracted it, and uploaded the files over my existing ones (after creating a backup, of course). But when I browse to my stores /setup folder, the only option to upgrade is to version 5.2.12 (this is my current version) NOT to v6. Please advise accordingly. Thanks.

I'm using Cubecart 6 and Foundation Skin: In the product Specification I want it to show if a product is New or Pre-Owned. I've altered the products.index.php file (admin/skins/default/templates/products.index.php) and then I altered the definitions.xml file (language/definitions.xml). However on the backend for the product it displays a drop down selection box for Used & Pre-Owned, when I select Pre-Owned for the product and look at it on the front end (after refreshing) the area beside the Condition in the Specification box is blank.

I am getting an error that the Shop by Category <i class="fa fa-caret-down"></I> is getting an - url is empty status. I am using 6.0.8. any ideas

Hi. So I was having a great day and got lots done so I decided to push things a little and thought I would finally put a blog on my cubecart in a sub directory. All went seemingly fine, but now my site is down (knicknacs.com.au). What I did was: Created a new folder and a new database for wordpress in cpanel. Uploaded wp into said new folder. Went to knicknacs.com.au/blog, and created a config file. All good. Decided to have a break before creating my amazing new blog site, and have some lunch. Meanwhile I get a message from uptime robot that my site is down ( 500 internal server error). Error logs in cpanel show these errors repeatedly . I just updated from 5.14 to 6.0.8 and when someone buys something and then decides to buy something else after the first purchase it keeps the first order # and uses it on the second order and the first order disappears from the admin screen. any idea what this is? 123456-789012-3456 when pushed goes to 151102-140704-4276 and shows another customers order with their address to the initial customer. it erased both orders and linked one order to the other order. is this a bug?

A minor issue which was first noticed today, but may have been around since we upgraded to version 6. My client manually registered a customer using the “Add Customer” screen in the Admin Panel (admin.php?_g=customers&action=add). The customer had no email address, so he entered “none” in the email field. Having completed the registration, he then selects the “Login as…” tab from the Edit Customer screen, intending to enter an order for this customer. However when he does this, the web page fails to load with http error 310, with the message “This web page has a redirect loop (ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS)” in Chrome, and “The page isn't redirecting properly - Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.” In Firefox. FYI when I changed the email address from ”None” to ” [email protected]”, it seemed to resolve the problem. A couple weeks ago, I posted an issue i was having with customers getting MySQL errors upon checkout. After upgrading MySQL, I was still getting the same issue. I was directed to contact my hosting provider about this error. Apparently, MySQL was timing out before the checkout finished processing. They increased the time before MySQL would time out and that fixed the error, but now it is taking about 45 seconds or so after a customer places an order to process that order and go to the "Thank You" page. This is something that seems to have randomly started happening. Every other page loads quickly. I'm not sure exactly how to tell what is causing the slow processing time in this situation. Has anyone else experienced the same issue or possibly be able to shed some light on this issue? Thanks in advance.

When someone goes to the store and tries to submit a review for the product it adds the product to the cart. This will occur whether a user is logged in or not. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to get this resolved? It's a serious problem, because if someone has the intention of making an order, they could accidentally order items, OR this could eventually ruin my stock inventory by pulling tangibles out of stock.

Hello, My store was off line for a while, but today when I have activated the shop only the home page appears to be working. All other pages like categories or links to products do not work. whenever I try to click on product - the new window opens up with the following message: Not FoundThe requested URL /store/landscape/cat_5.html was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache Server at store.dianadavydova.co.uk Port 80 Could you advise please what has happened as everything was working fine before and I didn't change any settings? Many thanks in advance Diana

When I checked my email this morning, I had complaints from customers that they were getting a MySQL Error when attempting to checkout. Upon investigating this issues, I realized that there was a notification in my cpanel stating that the version of MySQL was no longer supported and that I needed to upgrade. I logged into our WHM and used the MySQL upgrade tool. At the end of the upgrade, it stated that the upgrade completed successfully and the database rebuild completed successfully, but now when I try to login to my CubeCart dashboard, I am given error and warning messages and it is not allowing me to access my dashboard. I have attached screenshots for reference (screenshot 01 is at the login screen and screenshot 02 is after I attempt to login). I can provide the MySQL upgrade log file if that will help. I have a CCv5 website which has the dreaded "This web page has a redirect loop" message when adding a product from the product page to the basket and clicking 'View Basket'. If I do a refresh the message remains, however if I do a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) it loads and shows the basket contents as intended. I have done my research on this message and I have read about local time changes and there is nothing wrong in my htaccess so I am stumped. The website worked fine, this was upon backup and restore of the website. I have tried multiple computers/browsers, cleared cookies, tried on phone, etc with same result. Screenshot attached.

Recently, we had a customer from Canada try to place an order on our website, but received a USPS error with no way to complete the checkout using a different shipping method. I have attached a .txt document of the error. We weren't having any issues with Canadian customers placing orders in the past, so this seems to have just suddenly started happening. hello, I have to say we are very impressed with cubecart at first glance it seems very friendly & so far is running stable so far. I have a few small issues we noticed during testing, I know I can address these but just need to get more familiar with the code structure. Question 1. With respect to "coupons" during final checkout instead of displaying the "coupon code" how can we change it to display the Coupon Description (or both) instead of the only the coupon code? Question 2: The External News & Announcements feed is causing insecure warning (when viewing dashboard via SSL) Where do we configure/disable that? Question 3: When setting up the PayPal Pro Plugin there is an option for "transaction password" under "3Dsecure" (just below merchant ID) can you clarify which password this is & is it required if I have the API setup & configured? Is there any security risk populating the 'transaction password' Can anyone elaborate on how this option effects transactions (if 3dSecure is disabled) or enabled with the merchant ID but without a transaction password? thanks in advance, Robert

I have the Vat No. manually added to the print.receipt.php file in the skin/templates folder and the generic print.receipt.php, but recently it has stopped displaying on the printed out receipt. Does anyone have any ideas why this should be. Has an update changed the file?

Hi all. I put Mail chimp script in my main.php file ( in {literal})while I was still using v6.06, and it worked mostly like I wanted it to. There was one issue which was that it was not showing on my homepage for some reason, but was on all others. I was planning to mainly use it to collect subscribers as I could not work out any other way to put up a popup form in cube cart. ( very limited knowledge) . Anyway.. It worked well for a while. Next, I upgraded to v6.07, and for some reason the popup stopped showing on all pages.
